What I want to know is, why are the Undertones wearing bra's in the first place. Until we get an answer to that question, surely the size is irrelevant.

p2 on 10:03 10th-Mar-03 GMT #4f2-19997
Not that cross-dressing isn't a perfectly valid lifestyle choice, of course. I mean think of the many hugely talented dress-wearing rockstars: Wayne County, Captain Sensible...er maybe not

p2, I went to the same Hugh Cornwell gig. He may be looking a bit older but he still puts on a great show. Thoroughly enjoyed it, and good to see a reasonable turn out (350 ish). Got the new live album signed too, so that rounded off the night nicely.

Yes, I enjoyed. Drove over from Glasgow at the last minute, nearly missed the start. I've been listening to a lot of his solo stuff, and am looking forward to seeing him do it with a band sometime. Hi Fi is v good, Guilty is great. I also liked the SOns of Shiva album which was playing during the interval. I'd have asaid hello if I'd recognised you - that wasn't you up dancing in the leather jacket was it.

His voice still sounds great too. It was good to hear decadence done without the big production sound. That Ned Kelly song though...I think someone has to tell him to bin it. Still, it was really great to see him. I was wondering what the pensioners thought of it. One opld lady behind me hobbled out at half time and did not come back.

ps Four more heroes are playing in Glasgow and Edinburgh in August

Just had e-mail back from organisors of the London Festival. Due to be on stage at 1.30pm. Dont be late. Are we meeting up at the park or what? Don't believe you Cliff. Undecided! You will be there. That's an order. Here's another order. Mines a pint of cider.

doninblack on 13:54 10th-Mar-03 GMT #ec7-20003
Derek, if Rotterdam is anything to go by you're bound to end up in Brixton in a reggae club. There's no night trains out of there though.

doninblack on 14:02 10th-Mar-03 GMT #ec7-20004
The guy at the front 'dancing' looked almost as old as Jet Black. I was concentrating more on the lap dance moves of the lovely Mel (from Edinburgh), right in front of me, too. Hugh and a lap dance at the same time - bliss. Agreed the Ned Kelly is long-winded and doesn't suit him. Lyrically it reminded me of Val Doonican doing Paddy McGinty's goat! All he neede was the rocking chair and a nice jumper.

Lets not knock Captain Sensible, I used to drink with him in the Lion pub in Thornton Heath Sarf London, he is a great bloke, loves the Undertones and his common law wife was in the Dolly Mixtures.

George on 15:31 10th-Mar-03 GMT #100-20006
Hopefully my train will get me there in plenty of time for a 1:30 start on Sunday. Haven't worked out exactly where the venue is yet. Just heard thunder outside and it is chucking it down with rain. Hope Sunday's weather is better.

Rick on 15:58 10th-Mar-03 GMT #2a9-20007
Apart from me Derek, and George who else is confirmed for Sunday ? George I assume you're coming into Kings Cross you can either go 1 stop on the tube to Euston pick up the northern line south bound to Embankment and cross the bridge to Jubilee Gardens/South Bank. Alternatively, Piccadilly line to Leicester Square then the same northern line to Embankment.

Yes, Hugh certainly seemed to appreciate Mel's efforts too. Her friend had a great t-shirt - 'Protected by Satan' - nice one. (Or was it 'Protected by Santa'? My eyesight is going)

cliff on 17:36 10th-Mar-03 GMT #a8a-20009
1.30? thats put the cat among the pigeons! Obviously impossible to get to the match but plenty of time to find a pub for a 4.05 KO.hmmmmmm.

stote007 on 18:45 10th-Mar-03 GMT #b35-20010
Lewis, how did you manage it? I've just phoned Jurys Hotel for the fourth time and still can't get hold of a ticket. I'll get in, come what may, but Jurys should be able to do better than this.

Lewis on 21:28 10th-Mar-03 GMT #a6c-20011
Stote apparently if your stayin in the hotel you can get tickets i assume, see you there.

George on 21:41 10th-Mar-03 GMT #99e-20012
If I don't make Sunday's gig it's cos' I've been relegated to Sunderland's new manager. 3rd time lucky! So the concert is in the park next to the London Eye. Didn't realise Captain Sensible was still going out with the girl from the Dolly Mixture's.

Julius on 21:56 10th-Mar-03 GMT #534-20013
Am I correct that the band play Cork on saturday night and London the next afternoon at 1.30?

George on 22:28 10th-Mar-03 GMT #99e-20014
Just seen the Cold Feet CD advertised on TV with Teenage Kicks played as James Nesbitt's character Adam seronades his girlfriend whilst naked with a rose where the sun don't shine.

wilke on 22:29 10th-Mar-03 GMT #2e0-20015
