Musings
I see the open minded doninblack has looked at the St Pats line up set decided that he doesn't like anything new or different - sounds a bit like 1976! Lee @ on 08:35 14th-Mar-03 GMT #64a-20075 Thanks for the 40th wishes. Had a nice day yesterday but it's all gone horribly wrong this morning as the pc at home seems to have crashed and looks pretty much as if everything on there is lost. Hope to restore it all but doubt I will be online at home for a while. Anyone needing to email me should use this one for now. Vinny @ on 09:46 14th-Mar-03 GMT [www.theundertones.com] #1a3-20076 For those that are intrigued, I revealed last night that I was, in fact, a woman!!! doninblack on 10:58 14th-Mar-03 GMT #ec7-20077 Mike, that's not what I meant at all. I like new and interesting stuff. Just thought the bill looked a bit odd for The Undertones to be involved in. Hope each artist manages to convert some people to their stuff! Enjoy. doninblack on 11:02 14th-Mar-03 GMT #ec7-20078 Next prediction: The new Undertones album will be a blinder. Rick on 12:07 14th-Mar-03 GMT #2a9-20079 Happy Birthday Lee. I'm not 40 for another 3 months. Cliff, 35 minutes of the Undertones is still worth hours of any other band. Maybe they'll play most of the new album then you'll be sick. Got the Moondogs Peel Sessions from Detour yesterday. How great is this CD ? Fantastic 12 page booklet on the band with loads of info. (Pete Waterman co-produced 'Who's Gonna Tell Mary?' !!!!) and pics. Music sounds great. The first session sounds a bit shambolic but has enough energy to power a town and the second session (which I already had on tape) proves how good the album could have been. I urge everyone on this site to get a copy. George on 12:18 14th-Mar-03 GMT #5db-20080 Just realised I will be missing the World Indoor Athletic Championships from Birmingham on Sunday whilst attending concert. The sacrifices we have to make! Don't think the majority of the crowd would be appreciative if the undertones played a totally new set on Sunday. As for me I would be ecstatic. Couldn't cope with the 8 hour wait before I got back to a PC to tell everyone about the new songs. For 35 minutes expect a greatest hits set with possibly only one new song. doninblack on 12:32 14th-Mar-03 GMT #ec7-20081 As they're recording right now, I reckon you'll get a few new songs. They'll likely be wanting to try them out live. Derek on 13:00 14th-Mar-03 GMT #12c-20082 Cliff. What is the betting they play bittersweet. Enjoy your match. Don't know how to do bidding for things on E-Bay (or anywhere else for that matter). What do you do? I'm not sure of the quality of the t-shirt anyway. and how does it get sent to you and how much postage do you have to pay etc. I would be interested in it if I could see it. Happy Birthday Lee. Have you got your bus pass yet like the rest of us? Anyway see you all there, those who are going. I'll be there from about 1 ish. p2 on 15:55 14th-Mar-03 GMT #4f2-20084 Its true, life does begin at 40. (But only if you're living your life backwards). Philomena Begley - my mum likes her. Also Brian Coll and the Buckaroos and various other 'Country n' Irish' showbands. donald on 16:44 14th-Mar-03 GMT #ba0-20085 Happy belated 40th Lee. I am not forty for two years and two and a half months and am not looking forward to it unless ther is a Undertones gig the same day. have a great time all those going to Cork and London, do lots of review. doninblack on 17:09 14th-Mar-03 GMT #ec7-20086 Reviewers remember - you have to be prepared to withstand a full-on Wilke verbal onslaught. Submit your stuff, then hide! Lee on 17:33 14th-Mar-03 GMT #266-20087 Well the pc seems to be working now. Can't say it was anything I did - used my full experience of the things by just keep turning it on as many times as possible and soone enough it works. Not sure if it needs an overhaul but seems I'm back with the living for now. Going to the dogs this evening - literally. No doubt much losing of money and drinking of beer. Liam @ on 18:21 14th-Mar-03 GMT [www.theundertones.com] #590-20088 doninblack you do talk some bollocks don't you. wilke on 18:55 14th-Mar-03 GMT #2e0-20089 to anyone going to the gig have a good one reviews are ok if there good on the day say there good but if there bad say that as well.but i`ve ever only been to one bad gig and that was along time ago talk soon see ya wilke on 18:56 14th-Mar-03 GMT #2e0-20090 ps going out on the the piss to make up for not going to the gig tssy Cliff on 19:16 14th-Mar-03 GMT #71b-20091 Dont misunderstand me, if Albion werent playing I'd be there if it was 15 minutes, let alone 35. The fact that its 35 minutes just makes a hard decision a little bit easier.Derek, its an original so I'm sure its good quality, if youre interested I'll bid for you. Cliff on 19:18 14th-Mar-03 GMT #71b-20092 Rick, I'd rather not hear any more new stuff until its released. The thrill of getting home with the CD and listening to new tracks for the first time... Julius on 20:34 14th-Mar-03 GMT #cc5-20093 To everyone going to the gigs this weekend: have a great time, enjoy yourselves and let us know what happened! Especially I am quite anxious to hear what they play, which new songs and how they sound!!! Cactus on 01:25 15th-Mar-03 GMT #ee3-20095 35 minutes = best 35 minutes since, oh, the Astoria. Kinda drunk right now = stressy day at work. What ever happened to Brendan Shine?
