Jackie - logged on for my annual update (it is great to sit for a few hours and read all the messages in a marathon session). It was triggered by Mam sending me loads of posters (she's in a chuck out the clutter phase) which included the Sin Of Pride poster. Hilarious to see that your photo as Rocking Humdinger of the Month was in front of your copy of the poster. My other thought was were we always drunk when we took photos in those days? They always seem blurry (or perhaps I am always drunk when I look at them now!)

One of the other items included was a signed Dingwalls ticket so another amazing coincidence when I read your comments about the gig - was that the occasion when Feargal signed the Silk Cut packet? Amazing the importance we attached to such things. Not that much has changed, I was thrilled to get all that stuff out of the blue (even though it was relegated to clutter status by Mam). That Dingwalls gig was 6 April 1983 so it's almost a 'it was twenty years ago today, me and Jackie saw the band play' moment. Very strange.

Vinny announced that he is to do a documentary about Stiff Little Fingers. So he will be switching his allegiance to www.slf.com from now on. How fickle these media types can become.

Mickey mentioned last night that the band would play the Witnness festival if they were asked. The line up hasn't been finalised yet and they are always adding acts right up until a few weeks before. Why don't we give them a few hints about including The Undertones in the lineup. Re the chat room last night. I stayed till 11.00 and Vinny still hadn't appeared so I signed off for a while. I came back about 15 minutes later and there were 2 new people online - Vinny and mickeyb. I thought, 'it can't be', but it was! A real Tone in the chat room. He was talking about the Peel session, and answered questions as best he could, in his own inimitable style. I think Liam is going to transcribe it so you'll be able to read it all later. It was great to get the up to date gen 'from the horse's mouth', so I hope other band members will follow suit. See, it is worth going to the chat room on a Thursady night.

Coffee 'House' if you don't mind, it's much more posher.Funny enough we're gonna change the name as it gives the impression we only serve coffee cakes etc, but we do lots of hot meals also.We want to call it '......... Diner', any suggestions?(please don't say Doinas diner)

Jackie - I had a load of rubbish things going on in my life last year which has (I hope) now come to an end. Leaving the country would have been a better alternative. Saw the stuff about the chatroom and couldn't believe that I had missed it!!!! I am now determined that I will make a gig this year. You can imagine how great it was to see that pile of posters arrive (how many did we have?) and the signed tickets and then find your 'Humdinger of the Month' stuff - almost spooky.

The Witnness festival line-up isnormally the same as the `T in the Park` line-up - so I`m told!! Anyway, if The Undertones aren`t playing you can go and see The Basement!!

Humdinner. I didn't plan to go into the chatroom last night. I had been to a quiz until 11pm and should have gone to bed. Instead I thought I would just peek to see who was in. An hour later, after waiting for the non appearance of the Rezillos on OGWT I eventually got to bed. Liam and Vinny promised us the occasional Tone in the chatroom. They've now delivered. Apparently Paul has been in a few times but uses an alias. Hopefully we've always been complimentary when he has been in!

Sorry for keeping you up George, it definitely said the Rezillos were on in TVQuick. I haven't watched the recording yet so I don't know who was on. Did you win the quiz?
