Hi again Lesley - you found us! If you want to get 'white' messages on here which get posted instantly, just email CMoS at the address below under the 'comments' box. You just need to register your name and password and submit both every time you post.

Welcome Lesley and WB Christine. WE need all the female posters on here we can get, so keep posting. Christine if you fancy a catch up chat (20 years later) suggest a time we can talk in the chatroom. But not this afternoon as I'm off on a mini shopping frenzy to escape the war/Grand National/Boat race (*&^^%%***) and gardening. Dont worry Lindsay I'll save some money for next weekend!!

Julius and myself went to see Billy's favourites, The Riplets last night in Apeldoorn (where?). Class act, very tight, pity there was only 60-70 punters there. They did a version of 'Sheena is a punk rocker'. Much better sound than at the Nighttown. Hopefully they'll support The Undertones in May.

Another poster tube arrived today which included a signed 'holiday' poster (everyone but Damian signed on their part of the poster but for some reason Dee signed over Billy's head) plus Orange Juice and Bunnymen stuff. Obviously I didn't need any wallpaper in those days. Jackie - it would be great to chat. Should we try and get in the chatroom tomorrow? As it would be exactly 20 years after the Dingwall's gig it's kinda apt.

I was planning an extension to my house which was going to be a games room, kinda think that now I can have the luxury of a wall of 'Tones posters. Much better than the original decorating plans.

TVQuick obviously got all the bands muddled up for OGWT. Let's hope it's right next week as this is what it says for Thursday - 'The rock time machine spirits us back to 1979 and a classic year for prime punk and new wave bands achieving mainstream success. Top of the bill are the brilliant UNDERTONES who split while on top...'. Whoever wrote this know's what the're talking about anyway. Can anyone verify this in other TV mags for this week??

Christine @ on 11:39 5th-Apr-03 GMT #bde-20492
Lindsay - Radio Times says 'Undertones, Simple Minds, Iggy Pop, Blondie, Tubeway Army, and the Damned are among the musical delights on offer ...(from the)archives from 1979'

Obviously the RT is not cool enough to like the Undertones

Went to see th eriplets last night: great set, these girls really have good, catchy songs whcih keep on dancing in your head in a pleasant way. They play well, tight set, they have energy&passion and a good stage show with lots of chat. Besides that they are very nice to talk to.

Just got back from a day trip to Blackpool. I should have only been the bus driver for the running club. (Un)fortunately the person who should have ran the 12th and last leg of the race didn't arrive, so after modelling my Jimmy Jimmy t-shirt in Blackpool all day in front of a 1000 runners I had to run the 'glory' leg. What made it worse was that we were in the bronze medal position when I set off. Thankfully I had a big enough lead over 4th not to lose a place. So at the grand old age of 41 I have managed to win a bronze medal in the Northern 12 man relay championships. I also had a request to play the Undertones in the mini-bus as well. Can you get Vibration White Arm from driving a minibus cos' my right arm is aching.
