So Cliff'people frequently talk like this down the pub and no one gets upset'I repeat my question of yesterday. If the pub were in Glasgow would you happily use the word 'jock'or would you feel that it was,at the very least, rude and lacking respect?

Adrian. @ on 17:59 26th-Apr-03 GMT #7b4-20810
You see Cliff,I don't like being called a 'Paddy'or a'Mick'as far as I am concerned they are insults.Presumably these 'adults'that'know the score'wouldn't have a problem with these words either? The next time you get the opportunity to speak to any of The Undertones ask them if the mind being called Paddy or Mick,I think you already no the answer.

Adrian. @ on 17:59 26th-Apr-03 GMT #7b4-20812
I appreciate Alex pointing out that you are freinds and it was all in jest. But many people check out this site who don't know that and many Scottish people do take offense at being called a jock(my brother-in-law for one). As for your 'in the real world not pc one comment'thats just a cheap way of avoiding the question. If its pc not to use words like this than where do I sign up?

Adrian. @ on 17:59 26th-Apr-03 GMT #7b4-20813
I know you'can't be bothered'Cliff because, well your above this sort of thing aren't you? And,after all,I'm just trying to stir it up and should just be ignored. But I suspect that you can't be bothered because, deep down, you know you are wrong. But don't take my word for it,ask The Undertones maybe the can change your mind.

Adrian. @ on 17:59 26th-Apr-03 GMT #7b4-20814
p.s.Well done to the Hoops Alex, good luck(I have a few mates who are heading over as well).

Cactus on 12:45 26th-Apr-03 GMT #323-20827
Is anyone going to the gig in Hamburg? Got tickets for it yesterday; I knew having 'family' in Germany would come in useful one day! Have the Undertones every played in Germany? I can't recall they have but then again I probably wasn't that interested 'last time around'. Off to see the Buzzcocks tomorrow night; had my hair cut shorter than I have for years today - noticed a bit of grey! What does that mean?

Cactus on 12:49 26th-Apr-03 GMT #323-20828
West Ham are still not down yet. Poor Glen; they never should have let Ron Greenwood go and manage England. I just tried to vote on the BBC Sport website, where you could say whether you thought Trevor Brooking would keep West Ham in the Premiership; strangly the link to the yes vote page says Pge Not Found. I can't imagine why....

Jackie on 13:25 26th-Apr-03 GMT #63f-20829
Cactus the Undertones did play Germany first time round I got a postcard from Damian from Hamburg once- it had a lovely scenic view of the docks on it!!

Cliff on 13:31 26th-Apr-03 GMT #71b-20830
Sorry Cactus but one of my best friends and my next door neighbour are both west Ham season ticket holders.During the summer one of them said 'I bet you'll be happy to go away from Upton Park without a thrashing'...we did, we won 1-0.West Ham going down will be a little compensation for Albions relegation.

Cliff on 13:35 26th-Apr-03 GMT #71b-20831
I just spoke to a lifelong Albion mate on the phone, he was in his car.He often goes to Germany on business so I told him I was going to see The Undertones. He had no idea I liked the 'tones and told me he'd been playing them 5 minutes earlier on the car stereo.

Cactus on 18:08 26th-Apr-03 GMT #323-20832
Oh dear. Arsenal deserve to have about 50 points deducted for that performance today. Still, all hope is not all lost yet. (Most of it yes but not all.) Cliff: look at things positively, you'll get the chance for a year to visit lots of new places around the country. Beating the Hammers 1-0 isn’t really that much to boast about when you think about some of their other impressive performances this year. If it wasn’t for my dodgy knee (footie injury) I’d be out there playing for them I’m sure! Probably my mum too. And I’ve quite an impressive Spider Plant that would do a good job in midfield. Still, I predict a bad day for Man City team and fans tomorrow.

Cactus on 18:11 26th-Apr-03 GMT [www.whufc.com/] #323-20833
I just bought myself a nice new West Ham Scarf from the team's website. 100% acrylic, so nothing but the best there.

Cactus on 18:12 26th-Apr-03 GMT #323-20834
Thanks for the info Jackie. Hamburg does have very impressive docks that still look like proper, working docks.

Cactus on 18:14 26th-Apr-03 GMT #323-20835
How many people here are going to have to find themselves a proper record player so they can listen to the new Undertones 7' when it comes out? Or are we all so old that everyone still has them?

Jackie on 19:36 26th-Apr-03 GMT #63f-20836
I've no turntable. The last one went to that Dansette graveyard in the sky. This means I've never listened to the Sin of Pride since about 1988! We keep meaning to buy another but its not a priority. Mt dad does tape the occasional LP for me when I ask. I also have to use tapes in my car. No posh CD player for me!

Cactus on 20:11 26th-Apr-03 GMT #323-20837
Teenage Kicks just got played on MTV2. The film was the one on the Uudertones music video.

Cactus on 20:13 26th-Apr-03 GMT #323-20838
That u is a n of course.

Cactus on 20:13 26th-Apr-03 GMT #323-20839
I have an Australian keyboard.

Cliff on 22:45 26th-Apr-03 GMT #db7-20840
Cactus, their not new to me.The only stadiums that will be new to me next season are Wigan & Brighton(if they stay up).

AlexD on 23:06 26th-Apr-03 GMT [www.henrikstongue.com/] #e5c-20841
Clifford? Six against that lot. If you'd asked we could have sent down Bobo Balde. Owen went through 4 pairs of pampers when RoboBobo smiled at him! Are you serious about a green lobster special edition, that would be very nice! Totally unexcited at the moment about the OF game tomorrow, that'll change mid-day though. There's a bit of a campaign for all the Celtic fans to wear sombreros tomorrow, as long as it keeps the darts, bottles and spittle from the Huns off their heads fair play. The celeb tims are quite good on this site

Vinny on 23:39 26th-Apr-03 GMT #360-20842
CACTUS: DERRY CITY FC may be signing a WEST HAM keeper called David Forde, know anything about him??

George on 00:02 27th-Apr-03 GMT #927-20843
For all I know with my limited knowledge of spanish Alex you could have told me to go and stick part of my anatomy where the sun don't shine. I'm sure you wouldn't have done that though. If WBA can beat Sunderland, Liverpool can beat WBA, Celtic can beat Liverpool, god knows what the score would be if Sunderland ever had to play Inverness CT. Do you plan to make a holiday out of your trip to Seville Alex, or is it just a flying visit?

AlexD on 00:56 27th-Apr-03 GMT [www.henrikstongue.com/] #062-20844
George I nunca diría una cosa como eso. Aunque si usted tiene pudo ninguna idea qué me estoy diciendo entonces. If Sunderland played IC Thistle would anyone really care? Lassen Sie uns reales Sunderland sein sind schlechter als nach Westen Brom.

Cactus on 01:05 27th-Apr-03 GMT #323-20845
Cliff: Brighton has a nice beach (if you like pebbles and it isn't raining) and a proper pier; and of course bought the world Peter & the Test-Tube Babies. Wigan has, well, a pier too, sort of.

Cactus on 01:08 27th-Apr-03 GMT #323-20846
Vinny: I know nothing about David Forde, other than he's Irish. He's probably a man as well(becasue he's got a man's name, but you can never tell these days).

AlexD on 03:26 27th-Apr-03 GMT [ www.rangers.kiss.henriks.ronson.yvivaespana.com] #12c-20847
I might be repeating myself here, but does anyone know whats on the BBC Sessions album due for release on 26/05/2003. Obviously the older stuff, but will there be some new material? Vin John Paul McBride is a good lad, can't think why Rangers Boys Club never took him. What's in a name?
