Arthur - I saw Macca at Earls Court last week and I agree he was great. You can forgive his shite songs as soon as you remember he was one of the main songwriters in the second greatest band of all time. I still get tears in my eyes every time I see any of that '60's footage of the Fab's conquering the world. Thanks for that Lee. That Beatle Haters web site almost convinced me of their argument until they shot themselves in the foot by saying Roxy Music and Prince were better than the Beatles. Arthur on 23:34 30th-Apr-03 GMT #41b-20963 If you want to catch up on McCartney, read 'Revolution in the Head' which is about the best Beatles book ever written. If you don't like the Beatles, fair enough, there a point that concentrating on the past takes away from the present and stops new music getting out there. Believe me, I'm a fan of the new but I was happy to see McCartney - you just can't argue with his materiel. Lindsay, I'm a Mel C fan, anything she's released seems good. I also liked 5 but I think they've split haven't they. Arthur on 23:36 30th-Apr-03 GMT #41b-20964 Tonight I went to the 'Belfast Bohemians' art show above Hooley's new shop. Featured a performance piece with a girl satirising male fantasies by rolling around in muck and emphasising the debasing nature of such entertainment. It was slightly ruined by the bellows of a loud Belfast voice just prior to the performance who announced, 'I don't know what I'm doing here, I'm a black taxi driver..I only came for a pint.' That and the fact I'd to go and drag Hooley from the pub to witness the performance. Still, the girl had balls and it was interesting and I thought that 25 years after Teenage Kicks, Hooley was still out there and doing it - giving kids a chance. He does deserve a statue!
