Personally KITD would rate as 1 of the worst 5 songs the Undertones ever did. That should stir 1 or 2 up!

PC is not crashing quite as much so getting caught up with the postings - had to read Alex joke twice to get it.Sounds like a good w/e in the Nerve Centre. You bright Derry people were top this year in the IQ quiz as Lindsay said but that was quite a jump from bottom last year - the Undertones reforming have clearly increased brain cells.Off to Electric 6 tonight, looking forward to it.

I always laugh when people say music is to loud and remember the best sticker I have seen, but never been able to buy. Its a sticker with a black pool ball on it, that fits perfectly over the volume control of a stereo and reads 'If its too loud, You're a c*nt'. Not nice but very funny.

George, as a Leeds fan, I remember Sunderland's cup win only too well. I still don't know how Jim Montgomery kept Lorimer's shot out. One of the greatest saves ever.

Looking forward to buying the Tones 7' single, even though my record player's been knackered for years. I might get to hear the b-side some day. Hopefully John Peel will play it. There's something wonderful about vinyl singles that CDs don't capture. Having said that it would be nice to have the single on CD some day (just so I can play the damn thing!)

Lee how can you slag Kiss in the Dark? Its a classic! You'll be saying Beautiful Friend was pants next! I have very few songs that I skip. After all they don't last long enough to get on your nerves. Also! KITD had one of the best photos ever. I swear it was taken out of my old bedroom window.

KITD is a good song, I wouldn't put it in my top 40 Undertones songs but its still a good song.I played SOP the other day and 'chain of love' still sounds great.A reviewer at the time said he could 'listen to it 'til his ears bleed'.I always liked 'Beautiful Friend' also, that would just about make my top 40.

I like KITD too, it was the B-side from Julie Ocean and Julie O is from the positive touch LP, which has many 'hidden' treasures. I always find myself playing it a lot!

Just got in from Electric 6 - unbelievably good. Sorry I really dont like 'Kiss in the dark'or 'Beautiful Friend'. they just seemed like they were trying too hard to get away from their old sound. Fair enough trying to evolve (which they did superbly) but on those two tracks it just seemed like they tried too hard. Fire in the disco, fire in the disco.

Sitting in a hotel room in Key Largo and its bloody hot outsidehe internet connection is fairly primitive< but hey< its only ten bucks a day! Lots of lobsters here, but no ones heard of The Undertones! Trust me to be away when the session will be aired. I presume someone somewhere will be able to send me a copy?

..bit disappointed that Sian has gone. I liked her. Saw her once on an outtakes type show when she was interviewing a goodlooking bloke, bit like Ginola type. At the end of the interview he said' Is there anything else you want to ask?' And straight faced she said 'Yes, fancy a shag?' It really made me laugh.

And did anyone see CSI tonight- it was a really good episode for once. I knew it was him- spotted his trainers at the start. Greg is just so wonderful I think I'm his new biggest fan!
