Anyone see Murphy's Law last night? The Undertones were once again mentioned by Jimmy Nesbitt after a Russian arms trader had trashed his flat, leading to the comment, when noticing his Undertones poster on the floor 'Oh, not The Undertones'. wilke on 08:29 20th-May-03 GMT #2e0-21527 sorry you cant make the gigs cliff but hey you know there will be more this year a lot in england and soctland i hope.arthur going to a play tonight so give me a buzz on wed night ok talk soon see ya Cliff on 09:37 20th-May-03 GMT #2ca-21528 I saw bits of Murphy's Law, I noticed his flat was trashed and no undertones poster on the wall.I should be at Stansted now :-(( AlexD on 10:10 20th-May-03 GMT #96d-21529 NEWSFLASH: The Association of Dyslexic Celtic Supporters have safely arrived in Seamill. Rick on 10:25 20th-May-03 GMT #2a9-21530 Just got my copy of the Moondogs album. I can’t believe how the band has managed to retain that youthful energy, optimism, and excitement. They don’t sound a day older than they did 22 years ago. Apart from the serious subject matters in ‘Getting Off in Amsterdam’ and ‘ The Boy who Used to Sing’, the album brims with positivity and joyousness. I swear that anyone who hears ‘Bring On The Sunshine’ will not be able to resist bouncing around and singing along. I’m grinning from ear to ear after hearing this album. Fantastic album. I'm so glad they're back. Julius on 10:31 20th-May-03 GMT #247-21531 Koln here we come CMoS on 10:45 20th-May-03 GMT [theundertones.net/cgi-bin/guest.pl/undegues/21446] #296-21532 Paul VTU speaks - henry on 10:51 20th-May-03 GMT #735-21533 Koln here we are ! If Bring on the Sunshine doesn't make you optimistic and thinking joyously of summer then you either live in the Antarctic and don't appreciate summer anyway or have just realised you can't get to the Undertones gigs at the last minute. Sorry Cliff but never mind. There will be more along soon I'm sure. Rick - did you get the promo single with Everyday Things on it? If not email me. Lee on 12:41 20th-May-03 GMT #64a-21539 Wilke - thanks for the package the other day. It's great. I emailed you last night. Did you get it? Have to check because while it's been fine for a while I too used to have trouble emailing you. Anyway - see also my last posting to Rick and if you haven't a clue email me too (and anyone else who has bought the Moondogs album for that matter). Lee on 12:45 20th-May-03 GMT #64a-21540 Sorry - I do try to not live an breathe the Moondogs every second of the day but things just keep popping up in the brain. They did a gig last Saturday which must have gone well because the venue want them back in the future. Lee on 12:46 20th-May-03 GMT #64a-21541 Still not been able to set up the turntable to play the new single. Must do that this evening. Jackie on 19:21 20th-May-03 GMT #63f-21547 Mrs Glass's merit sticker to the first person to answer these questions- which song from Beggars banquet does the keyboard bits at the end of Bittersweet sound totally like, and who sings on Window Shopping for New Clothes? Dee or Michael? George on 19:51 20th-May-03 GMT #64f-21548 With Julius, Stote and Henry. Have seen soundcheck. Heard one new song. Travelled from airport to Cologne with Damian. About to go and see the gig. julius on 19:52 20th-May-03 GMT #64f-21549 saw 2 great soundchecks, one without damian one with damian , damian and gerge were quite late, the club in koln is small, your average pub is bigger!!! stote007 on 19:54 20th-May-03 GMT #64f-21550 Can also confirm that George's german is crap!!! Julius is rescuing us incompentent English! Just an hour to go and then it all begins - think of us jealously!!!! henry on 19:57 20th-May-03 GMT #64f-21551 Missed the soundchecks (waiting for George who was smoozing with the band while I hung around Cologne Station). Should be an excellent gig especially since they are playing new songs, and I have taken Cliff´s tip and am wearing trousers with an elasticated waistband )Rock n roll or what. Jackie on 20:04 20th-May-03 GMT #63f-21553 George, you lucky sod! Quick ask him my 2 questions will you??? Cliff on 20:20 20th-May-03 GMT #934-21554 Blimey you lot do like to rub salt in the wounds, lucky bastards. The girl at work who had 'glandular fever'(my ass)has made a miraculous recovery, but now we have baby sitter problems. However I AM going to Munich, yippeeeee Arthur on 21:27 20th-May-03 GMT #a38-21555 Thanks for sending the Moondogs album down Wilke -on first listen it does sound great! Lee on 21:38 20th-May-03 GMT #e5c-21556 Anyone know how to split an MP3 file into smaller bits? I can do this easily in Nero so when I got the whole of the Peel show as 1 file from Cactus started to try to split it so I could copy it on to a cd and play it in the car - only to find Nero is a bit elitist and only supports top quality files. Easy CD Creator doesn't seem to give me an option to do it either so unless someone's get any bright ideas I've got to sit at the pc for 2 hours! Lewis on 21:54 20th-May-03 GMT #062-21557 Good luck to all those lucky bastards in Germany! Cliff on 22:26 20th-May-03 GMT #71b-21558 How can I buy the Moondogs CD?
