When did you speak to the K of K's anyway Clifford? Or did you make a wee booboo?

Cliff on 08:46 31st-May-03 GMT #7e3-21774
I had a BBQ yesterday and the K of K dropped in.I was trying to persuade him to join Albion although warned him he might have to spend a while on the bench until he proves himself. We had a kickabout in the garden,Oliver was goalie, but Doina got pissed off when we trampled some of her flowers.spoilsport.

Cliff on 08:47 31st-May-03 GMT #7e3-21775
...either that or I read it on teletext, I forget now.

AlexD on 09:23 31st-May-03 GMT #12c-21776
Hold on a minute, let me get this right. You and Doina were pissed in B&Q buying a new bench, some tramp spoiled her flower and the K of K's kicked Oliver round the garden? The only unbeleivable bit is him joining Albion(is it a building society of some sort?)

Cliff on 09:53 31st-May-03 GMT #cbd-21777
Yeah, It does seem a bit far fetched dosent it.I must have seen it on teletext then.

Found this on the website of German band, The Kidnappers: 'The UNDERTONES were awesome. They played all the hits. Every song from their first LP. It was the original Line-Up with a new Singer who was great. So cool. Unfortunatly I was surrounded by 40-50 year old men. Some had moustaches and tucked in shirts. Strange!! But the Band rocked like hell. Best show lately.' The boy clearly has taste, but the comment about 40-50 y.o. men gets a bit close to home!

So no women there then? There usually are a couple of very fit looking ones, at least at the gigs me and Jackie have been to anyway! ;-)

Here comes the summer, pity it only lasts for a few days every year. It's got to the stage now where I need to remember to wear a hat to stop my head from getting burnt. In the past it was only my nose that would be burnt. Just had a day spent watching my dad through my future inheritance away on the horses in God's county. I never gamble money, but did pick one winner. If only music festivals were guaranteed to have weather like the last few days.

congrats Arthur on the new-born

Set your videos for Slingblade on Channel 4 tonight, it's well worth a watch.

For those of us who are (ahem) 'folically challenged', there comes a defining moment, a moment when the ugly truth can't be ignored and when you can kiss goodbye to any last, lingering delusions of youth. I'm talking about, the fist time you apply total sunblock to your head!! George, you are at that moment. I can provide the services of a team of counsellors should you require it.

Lindsay on 22:20 31st-May-03 GMT #39b-21785
George, certainly been summer today - been at the seaside all day and my front's all burnt (a half-lobster-lookalike is okay but always careful no reindeer-lookalike returning from the beach these days). It's so hot even now at 10pm that sleeping out in a tent would be preferable (if I had one that is). Anyone seriously planning Guildford? Jackie and I are tempted but it's a long way for us (and an expense) for a one hour slot. Wouldn't mind seeing Madness as well though.
