Have to say - had a blinding time at Brighton - one of the best ever and i mean feargal times as well - last time i saw the boys was at Crystal Palace - didn't know what to expect - but were better than i ever could have imagined - let have more!

Adrian on 11:48 12th-Jul-03 GMT #d7e-22578
I'm sure we are all united in agreeing that the so called 'Fearless....'is a complete wanker. He definitely needs to get out more(thats assuming they let him out at all)

Wayne on 11:48 12th-Jul-03 GMT #9a6-22586
Jackie seen CMoS 22503 message ? Take care on Sunday. Woman who stood near me at Brixton REM was so stoned all she did was stare at the ceiling !

Wayne on 11:49 12th-Jul-03 GMT #9a6-22589
Alex- asuming you have 6 in the boot (with the one in the front for the Undertones)- my choices would be Never Mind the Bollocks, The Clash The Singles, The Essential Bo Diddley, New Order - International, Joy Division- Substance, Various - Back To The Old Skool: Ibiza Anthems (reserve would be Best of the Ruts)

Wayne on 11:49 12th-Jul-03 GMT #9a6-22590
T Rex Elecric Warrior my choice for best album cover (and a great record)(just to change the subject)

Wayne on 11:49 12th-Jul-03 GMT #9a6-22591
Cactus- any developments on the HR front ?

Wayne on 11:49 12th-Jul-03 GMT #9a6-22594
Think I am set on my 5 choices- 6th might vary though. Is your guy playing games or got some other 'problems'- actually probably best you don't comment. Never had any problems with Brixton sound personally but I note what you say re REM- not a big time fan- just like their catchy tunes but have to say (as I have said previously) they were genuinely not a touch on Brighton gig last Sunday. Were you there Cactus?- I wish I'd known a few people from the site and been able to hook up with em'- neverthelss my kids and I had an unbelievable night.

Cornwall on 11:49 12th-Jul-03 GMT #8fc-22596

wilke on 08:40 12th-Jul-03 GMT #69c-22602
funny no seems to have put down the best of black lace as a fav why?????????????????????

Cactus on 08:52 12th-Jul-03 GMT #18b-22603
Wayne: Brief answer is he's got problems and playing games. I was at Brighton, black t-shirt (I think) and I spend the entire gig doing up my laces over and over again. This is embarassing but as I've never leant to tie my laces properly I have to do double knots to get them to stay tied. As the band came on earlier (through there was going to be two support bands) I was 'out of position' and not 'fully pogo ready'. Nothing worse than trying to jump or move and finding one foot won't move becasue someone is standing on a lace!

Cliff on 09:09 12th-Jul-03 GMT #934-22604
I remember watching 'In bed with Madonna' and squirming with embarrassment for her and her entourage, what a sill cow.But she has made an endless stream of class records.

Wayne on 11:49 12th-Jul-03 GMT #9a6-22605
Oh yeah I recall your review Cactus, very funny (sent one in myself earlier in the week to .com but not seen it yet- not sure if it has got editorial approval)- have you tried asking DM to do a Velcro special edition? Judging from your pic I think I was just in front of you (between Paul and the balding guy at the front on the left) and took an almost identical (but rather blurry) pic. We (me, 2 sons and 2 of their mates)were lined up level with door/DJ while support were on- T's inc'd Dead Kennedys,SLF & Jimmy Jimmy . Sounds like its time to call in the lawyers and/or start thinking about the 'cheaper to pay him off than fight it' option.

Wayne on 11:49 12th-Jul-03 GMT #9a6-22606
AlexD- BSE, Suffolk world here. Clash on Broadway- but would take up half your cd 'capacity'

Cliff on 09:43 12th-Jul-03 GMT #7e3-22607
Wayne,if you actually meant to say 'handsome' balding guy, then that would be me.Did you say you were wearing a JJ t-shirt? If so I saw you.

Mickey on 11:49 12th-Jul-03 GMT [www.punkinderry.bravepages.com] #a2e-22608
If you want a cd for your car put together a singles compilation of TPE. What an underrated collection.

Wayne @ on 11:49 12th-Jul-03 GMT #9a6-22609
Cliff- Yes an uncomfortably bright yellow one. Email me and I'll send you the pic so you can see if you are 'that man'. If you were that close to the stage at the end you would have seen my son outstretch everyone to get Billy's sticks (I saw somewhere he gave his first set to a couple of girls- deliberate policy of rewarding the younger fans? - good idea)

stote007 on 11:11 12th-Jul-03 GMT #48d-22610
Here's another vote for bringing back the passwords - there're too many inadequates in cyberspace.

CMoS on 12:07 12th-Jul-03 GMT #a3a-22611
That latest spate of postings was from Holland, al the Ips beginning with 80 belong to RIPE in Amsterdam. Anyone we know on holiday ?

CMoS on 12:12 12th-Jul-03 GMT [tinyurl.com/gq5u] #a3a-22612
Any from Amsterdam the trail leads to .. Spain

Wayne on 13:25 12th-Jul-03 GMT #9a6-22613
CMoS- Cousin and friends arriving from Florida tomorrow for a few weeks and may be taking a trip to Amsterdam so will ask around for you. Just remembered I rang her when they sang My Perfect Cousin last Sunday and she was most impressed. Is this a record for an Undertones 'outside' broadcast ?

Liam on 13:25 12th-Jul-03 GMT #1dd-22614
CMoS I sent you an email. Did you get it? Not to sure of your addess.

donald on 13:59 12th-Jul-03 GMT #237-22616
Hope you find the sad person Cmos. Its elementary that they are clearly close to the band and probably from Derry. Is it a disgruntled cousin called Kevin? 6 driving CDs that will keep alex's foot tapping. Hypnotised - perfect choice (I prefer it over the 1st Album) Ramones 'Its Alive, Leftfield 'Leftism' , Johnny Cash - anything, Elvis '68 Comeback Special 'Queens of the stone age '- any album.Happy motoring.

liam on 14:03 12th-Jul-03 GMT #af1-22617
Talking about great music for driving. Every time I find myself speeding on the bike these days I always seem to be singing GET OVER YOU. Just shows that that advert does work.

AlexD on 14:13 12th-Jul-03 GMT #e5c-22618
Wayne you can recognise Cliff by his 'comfortable' sweatpants and glittery madonna t-shirt that says Alex on it. Number two is Clash-1978-1982 Live.

andy @ on 14:28 12th-Jul-03 GMT #611-22619
For all those Doctor Who fans, check out www.productenterprise.com.I got a radio controlled Dalek from them last Christmas and it's great! You can also get talking Cybermen and Davros etc etc.

Wayne on 14:32 12th-Jul-03 GMT #9a6-22620
... and black slip-on shoes with white socks? Yep can defintely place him now.

Arthur on 14:41 12th-Jul-03 GMT #59c-22621
I take it the open door policy as far as the website goes lead to an overdose of bile/gibberish from yet another inadequate. Ppasswords will need to stay then. CMos, does the site attract a lot of this and do you filter a lot of it out? A bit like a large humback whale?

liam on 15:02 12th-Jul-03 GMT #d4b-22622
Arthur are you going to Bray. Anyone else going?

Derek on 15:07 12th-Jul-03 GMT #590-22623
Just thinking what I was doing last week. Have not recovered yet. Need another top up. Tones gig that is. Off to be a noisy neighbour now and blast out hypnotised.

Cactus on 16:03 12th-Jul-03 GMT #18b-22624
Don't think I as at the same gig in Brighton as everyone else. I don't remeber anyone from the descriptions and I don't remember Billy given or throwing his sticks anywhere! Weird. You lot certainly spent a lot of time 'checking out' what everyone was wearing; must have been the special 'Brighton Effect'. Don't wear DMs these days; was wearing red baseball boots, which I'm assured are the height of fashion this year; I bought them last summer.

Cactus (in disguise) on 20:16 12th-Jul-03 GMT #18b-22625
Just seing how long it takes for this posting to appear.

Cactus on 16:05 12th-Jul-03 GMT #18b-22626
Straight away.

Cactus on 16:06 12th-Jul-03 GMT #18b-22627
Wayne: You been through one of these staff issues before? You seem to be very on the ball with it!

Jackie on 17:11 12th-Jul-03 GMT #675-22628
Exodus(Bob Marley), Beggars Banquet(Stones), Pet Sounds(Beach BOys), Liquid Skin (Gomez), New Adventures in HiFi(REM), Colossal Youth (YMG) Well thats my summer collection.

Jackie on 17:12 12th-Jul-03 GMT #675-22629
wilke thanks for the CD! I had to explain tssy to David over breakfast

Lindsay on 18:26 12th-Jul-03 GMT #f5c-22630
The disguise didn't work Cactus. The Undertones t-shirt and red baseball boots were a dead giveaway!

Cliff on 20:26 12th-Jul-03 GMT #a6c-22631
you forgot my pipe that I take a long slow drag from after every song.Hope you're not offended by the t-shirt Alex, I felt compelled to do it, oh great one.

Wayne on 20:29 12th-Jul-03 GMT #9a6-22632
Cactus- HR not my field but yes have a little experience. You have to be alert to 'innocent' incidents or comments etc that can later be turned into something much more significant. Important to be seen (i.e recorded your actions in writing) to be trying/have tried to 'work things out' i.e win-win rather one is right and one is wrong(ed).

Cliff on 20:51 12th-Jul-03 GMT [cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll] #a6c-22633
Anyone ever heard of a film called 'That Summer'? starred Ray Winstone made in 1979 and featured TK and other classics. The soundtrack is available on ebay....

Cliff on 21:11 12th-Jul-03 GMT #a6c-22634
In 1994/5 I was working in Vladivostock, it really is the end of the earth.Fortunately my one contact with the outside world was MTV and I'll always be thankful to REM for the brilliant 'Whats the frequency Kenneth', it kept me sane.In the market place I found a stall selling bootleg tapes and bought 'Monster' which has some great tracks.I agree about 'Shiney Happy people' Arthur, great song and what can you say about 'Everybody hurts'? one of the greatest balads of all time surely.

jACKIE on 21:27 12th-Jul-03 GMT #675-22635
As a fan of REM I have to say that the more famous songs are not my faves but Stand is great (especially the dance that they ripped off from My Perfect Cousin), and whatsernames voice on Shiney Happy People really adds to it (Cindy someone from the B-52s) Stand had a great video- ie Stipe -the only man to be genuinely sexy with shoulder length curly hair. 'Me in Honey' also featured the same B-52s vocals- one of their best tracks. Patti Smith duets with Stipe on a track from my fave REM LP- needless to say she completed blows him out of the water! This is really getting me in the mood for my gig tomorrow- better be worth it!

JACKIE on 21:29 12th-Jul-03 GMT #675-22636
I havent waited as long for this one as I did for the Undertones- a mere 14 years!
