I saw the Thrills in a bar in Belfast late last year. To be honest, they've one or two good songs and the rest are alright. Like Gallagher & Lyle without the cahones.

Lee: That was a really cold winter. My mum has pictures of me in my pram in Regent's Park in London that year and the snow is right up the side of the wheels, big, old fashioned pram wheels too. If ever a Summer Holiday was needed, then was probably one of those times.

Julius: Not bad; 37 degrees. I sat in an office all day today, with no fans, air-conditioning, drafts or windows open. The room is right at the top of the building too. Anyone got a better 'dumb things to do on a hot day' story?

Cactus not wishing to brag, Steve Cram lived next door to me when I was 3, we used to make mud pies together. And his dad made my mam a coffee table, which I inherited when I bought my first house. It was really classy, black wood, very 60s with a tiled top. The tiles were black and white the odd one had a pink rose on. Only got rid of it about 5 years ago- could have sold it for a tenner at least! It had those very skinny screw in legs- actually I cant think why I got rid of it ;-))

That table sonnds like the type all the kids at school who were good at woodwork got to make; I got to make a pencil sharpener, which was basically a bit of sandpaper stuck on a flat bit of wood. My woodwork teacher was called Mr Wood!

Well I don't like to bragg... When I was three I lived in the same street as an Everly Brother; I also lived kinda opposite Hughy Green in a wonky sort of way; I sold an old record player through the local paper to the grandparents of Simon le Bonn; and on holiday this summer I was the nearest person on Earth to Prince William and Prince Harry for about 10 mniutes!

alright how about this then...when she was a teenager my Mum refused a date with Terry Venables coz she thought he was a big head and my Dad knew the Krays.

BTW while I'm name dropping, my Brother has almost finished his book about Eddie & The Hot Rods and has a publisher lined up.It got a plug when the band played here last week.He's now looking for other artists to give any quotes or memories of E&HR in the 70's,I wonder if any of the Undertones knew them?
