great news about the gigs dublin & derry are in not sure about limerick ,talk soon see ya George on 14:04 13th-Aug-03 GMT #100-23308 Not too sure about the gigs. Would like to see another concert in Derry. Haven't been to the Nerve Centre before so it would be a new venue to me. Limerick is probably too much travelling involved. Dave R on 14:34 13th-Aug-03 GMT #43d-23316 Happy birthday Feargal! Dave R on 14:35 13th-Aug-03 GMT #43d-23317 ...and isn't it Mickey's birthday too?? Arthur on 14:36 13th-Aug-03 GMT #0aa-23318 Hi All - these latest 'postings' have a knowledge of regular contributors to the site. CMos, is there any way you can trace the server from which they eminate? wilke on 14:45 13th-Aug-03 GMT #69c-23319 anyone coming over for the dublin and derry gigs wilke on 15:43 13th-Aug-03 GMT #69c-23320 happy birthday boys talk soon see ya Dave R on 16:28 13th-Aug-03 GMT #43d-23341 Don't you mean 'Life's Too Easy'?? 'Twas the B side of 'Beautiful Friend'... Oh, but you don't have any friends - sorry. Off to do some trainspotting. Dave R on 16:52 13th-Aug-03 GMT #43d-23346 Oh, how lovely - does it give guidance on getting yourself a life too? Still, I've heard the outside world is a pretty scary place... Dave R on 16:53 13th-Aug-03 GMT #43d-23349 ...and may all your Christmas' be white... Dave R on 16:56 13th-Aug-03 GMT #43d-23351 You did well to type so long while wearing a straight jacket. Is it time for your medication yet? stote007 on 19:09 13th-Aug-03 GMT #4b7-23352 Derry, 11 Oct, I'll be there! Flights booked - few days with the family in Ireland thereafter. Vinny, Wilke, tell us about the local sights! London also booked. October's going to be a humdinger. Cliff on 19:18 13th-Aug-03 GMT #71b-23353 Exactly Arthur, and quite good knowledge I would say.Its someone who reads the site regularly, there were more this morning. Cliff on 19:21 13th-Aug-03 GMT #71b-23354 Obviously reading Daves messages something else was going on today, unless Daves lost it, surely not. wilke on 19:31 13th-Aug-03 GMT #69c-23355 stote 007 well we have bars bars and somemore bars i think thats all you need to know talk soon see ya Vinny on 19:45 13th-Aug-03 GMT #69c-23356 Cliff, he/she/it called Arthur 'Scottish' so he/she/it couldn't know that much? Anyway, it's best just to ignore these 'postings' and not engage with them at all. Cmos, any info you have greatly appreciated as I have a sneaky feeling I know who it is....email me direct on this. Liam was telling me that he sent you some info also on ways of combatting this? Is there not a website for these fec*ing people to go to!!? Then they'd all be happy!! Vinny on 19:47 13th-Aug-03 GMT [www.derryvisitor.com] #69c-23357 Stote, here's a site to get you started on planning your wee trip here. Ernie @ on 19:49 13th-Aug-03 GMT [www.ruefrex.co.uk] #977-23358 Can anyone advise me on how I can produce and Bulletin Board like this one? Vinny on 19:55 13th-Aug-03 GMT [www.thesaddlershouse.com/] #69c-23359 Stote, I would highly recommend this accommodation. My Father does all their maintenance and decorating etc and it has won many awards. If you can, get their premises in Great James Street or Queen Street, so handy for Nerve Centre. About 4 minutes walk!/ 10 minutes stagger!!Tell them Vinny Cunningham recommended it to you and you may get a discount! Jackie on 20:09 13th-Aug-03 GMT #675-23360 David and me are planning on Derry gig- definite maybe. wilke on 20:40 13th-Aug-03 GMT #69c-23361 jackie and david come on over you will have a great time in derry talk soon see ya George on 21:13 13th-Aug-03 GMT #ffe-23362 See the Saddler House is popular with people involved in the arts and media. That should cover all Undertones fans. I managed to catch some of the rantings earlier today before CMoS put them in their rightful place. julius on 21:17 13th-Aug-03 GMT #8db-23363 heard the new robbie williams single 'something beautiful' where does it remind me of?? which other song?anyone? julius on 21:18 13th-Aug-03 GMT #8db-23364 whilst talks on Liverpool are continueing I have to bring in Derry as well, Lindsay on 21:46 13th-Aug-03 GMT #0b2-23365 Can I sue for libel on a website? Not sure about Derry. Don't fancy that dodgy propeller plane again. It would have to be Easyjet to Belfast or nothing (at least that IS a jet). Can I get a bus from there or would anyone else be arriving Friday night in Belfast? Can I thumb a lift?? The black boots should do it (if I don't get arrested first!!). Jackie, how would you and David get there?? FoH on 01:22 14th-Aug-03 GMT #15f-23366 There's an Airporter bus service which travels from Belfast to Derry, neatly aligning itself with the arrival of the Belfast plane. BTW the 'dodgy propeller plane' commonly known as Shorts 350 (Ithink), has a particularly fine safety record I'm told. 'Zero accidents' was the comment told to me. donald on 22:17 13th-Aug-03 GMT #1f9-23367 Looking into derry at moment but prices a bit steep. Still hoping for a scotish gig but I cant wait that long, severe withdrwawl symptoms. The ranting from Anna is best ignored but its definitely someone close to the band and from Derry who reads this site a lot. Some statemnets are usually very accurate - except Arthur being Scottish and 'Big Alex' having a 9 inch knob unless he's had a penile reduction:) My top suspects are - my other half, Feargal Sharkey and Liam! Cliff on 22:44 13th-Aug-03 GMT #f5d-23368 I hope Alex never comes to a gig in a kilt.BTW, anyone go to the Derry V Barcelona game? Cliff on 22:48 13th-Aug-03 GMT #f5d-23369 Driving home from the albion match last night I was listening to James Whale on the radio. His guest was David Essex who has continued to write his own stuff all these years...and it showed.Talk about tired, uninspiring, tuneless crap! These were tracks from his new CD(only available from the websiite)and they were just awful. But this is what I think happens when an artist just goes on and on year after year, they lose that edge. wilke on 22:53 13th-Aug-03 GMT #69c-23370 hi cliff have sent you an e mail.maureen was at the match said derry played well the first half but barcelona were just to good for them vinny i`m sure will give a better report on the game talk soon Liam on 22:55 13th-Aug-03 GMT #907-23371 Thanks for that vote of support Donald, very much appreciated! Did you get my email about gigs. donald on 23:09 13th-Aug-03 GMT #1f9-23372 Thanks for checking it out Liam - just read your reply. Your off the suspect list - youre handwriting doesnt match. At least you were in good company. Alex in a kilt theres a thought, moonwalking might be risky. Cliff on 23:15 13th-Aug-03 GMT #f5d-23373 Derry is a bit expensive £75 and flight over at 7.05am,isn't that earlier than it used to be? that means leaving home at 5am.Albion at Cardiff that day also, never been there, not for football anyway.More tempted by Dublin, £45 and better travel times.Anyone know about the venue? Vinny on 23:31 13th-Aug-03 GMT #69c-23374 Cliff, it was a great game. Arthur came up from Belfast with a friend Juan Carlos and we all met up with Mickey Bradley who kindly supplied the tickets. All out after for a bite to eat and a drink. A great evening. About 8,500 in Brandywell which is capacity these days. Just unreal to see these stars perform...and Barcelona weren't bad either! Try the link below for links to reports etc. You may have to copy and paste into the address bar. http://www.derrycityfc.net/html/modules.php?op=modload&name=phpBB2&file=viewtopic&t=2237 Malc W on 23:54 13th-Aug-03 GMT #e59-23375 Don't suppose any of you saw Teachers tonight? There's always a fine choice of contemporary music between scenes, and tonight ... I recognise that riff - You Got My No. It certainly wasn't the original, but was different enough to have been worth a go judging by the 10 or so seconds I heard. So come on you anoraks - who's been covering one of the finest songs in the history of pop?
