If Ace of Spades and Please Don't Touch are embarassing to admit to owning, (I've got them as well so I'm out in the open about it now too) I'd best keep quiet about some of the stuff I've got. Like most types of music there good and bad in Metal. Although I was firmly in the 'punk' camp a lot of friends like metal and I still enjoy some of it now - probably more than I did then and usually when a few shandies too many. AC DC and Motorhead being top but there was some real bad stuff like 'Saxon' and all the poodle rockers. Poodle rock seems set for a revival with 'The Darkness' getting great reviews and a sell out tour. 'Queens of the Stone Age' have a perfect blend of metal and punks riffs with a poppyfeel as well, and they rock.

I'm very proud not to have any Metal (heavy or otherwise) in my collection. Only ugly women like Metal (ever noticed that?) so of course it's no surprise that I don't like it!! Oh dear, I can hear the Hells Angels coming down my road as I speak. Tssy (if they don't get me first!).
