On the subject of rarities, I only collect vinyl but do have the box set and all the albums on Cd just so I can play them as I havent got a turntable. Vinyl - all singles + 12 inch TK, MPF, LParade, 6 track promo for 1st album, french (or canadian) TK on 7'' and Dutch When Sat Comes'. Saw 'Ash' last night - really excellent, the've been practically touring for 3 years and are tighter than Alex's wallet.

On the news yesterday I just heard a snippet that Album sales are up by 2%. Funnily enough there weren't any comments from the fat bas**rd music industry exes trying to tell us that internet piracy is threatening the future of music.

today bought a new LP, just out, by The Thermals (from Portland, US), it's on Subpop. Great LP, punky, all recorded in a homestudio, sounds quite garage and full of energy and superb melodies. Very good. A friend saw them last month and was very convinced and the riplets are great fans too, yeah they have taste

Sound sgood Julius (but I knew the Riplets would be mentioned somewhere). The support band last night at Ash were good and the audience seemed to know them. the sounded American and were called StellaStar I think- ring any bells?

See TOTP2 have stopped putting news/info on the songs. Wonder why. Occassionally they had good snippets of information.

donald, could the ash support have been the star spangles from NY, 'Punk'n'roll band'?

you get what you ask for donald
