Musings
I'm pleased for our Northern friends that the Undertones are doing gigs up there at last. Anyone heard the new single by the Libertines 'Don't look back into the Sun' ? It's very 1979 and sounds like the Undertones meet the Buzzcocks - worth checking out. Vinny on 10:28 22nd-Aug-03 GMT #7b2-23537 Rick, is it Mick Jones(Clash) produced as well? He did some of their earlier work I think.... Lee on 12:43 22nd-Aug-03 GMT #64a-23539 October 3rd and 4th up North - October 6th down south - come on, come on - October 5th slap bang in the middle????? That would be nice. It's impossible pissed. AlexD on 15:39 22nd-Aug-03 GMT #43d-23543 What about an Undertones video game. Five cheekychops from Derry and a bewildered tour manager. The mission is to guide them through dubious English wastelands to get to Glasgow(it's in Scotland) for the ultimate gig experience. I think it's a winner. AlexD on 15:41 22nd-Aug-03 GMT #43d-23544 I've just noticed I've won a signed poster on the .com site, mood has improved greatly. I know your handwriting Vinny and I know Liam can't do the joined up letters yet so I'll be checking. stote007 on 18:20 22nd-Aug-03 GMT #9b4-23546 Lee, someone's listening to you. I just went to book my Brighton tickets and on Wayahead.com you can buy tickets for the Northampton Soundhaus on October 5. You heard it here first! stote007 on 18:43 22nd-Aug-03 GMT [www.bbc.co.uk/feedback/#c] #9b4-23547 With this weblink, you can request The Undertones to be featured on Later..... Cactus on 00:23 23rd-Aug-03 GMT #abd-23552 Just in from work, crappy day, been to a leaving do tonight. Walked onto the estate where I live, teenagers sitting about outside, and out of the darkness they play Teenage Kicks. The only music I ever hear here is hip hop and funk. I now really belive the Undertones are the next big thing! What a nice end to a crappy day. Vinny on 00:54 23rd-Aug-03 GMT #7b2-23553 Sorry BAP, it's to do with the cost of bus hire and the availability of babysitters on a Sat night!! Would love to go all day but you can't have it all sometimes! 'GET WHAT YOU NEED'! 7.30pm, 8.00pm was a compromise which was hard on it's own to reach I can tell you! Expensive things, buses on a Sat night..I remember the days when you could just take one off the street but we'll not go there....
