Musings
Vinny - it's my own opinion.. 'Get What Your Need' Cd isn't a poor Cd of course..but it's not the best Undertones album. My favourites are: track1)Thrill me - track10) Oh Please - track6) Enough wilke on 13:31 28th-Sep-03 GMT #8a3-24190 does anyone know if there is /was /or will be/a tribute cd to the undertones coming out . Arthur on 14:47 28th-Sep-03 GMT #eae-24191 I have a tribute CD Wilke. It sounds like some guy in a home studio and is about as good/bad as you would expect. I've lost it though. George on 15:32 28th-Sep-03 GMT #c37-24192 How could Scotland have a monopoly on good bands when the Undertones came from Ireland.:-) Is age catching up with someone! This time next week Sheffield and Leeds will be history. George on 15:34 28th-Sep-03 GMT #c37-24193 I have a tribute CD. The bands have different names but apparently it is the same band. Cliff on 19:13 28th-Sep-03 GMT #7e3-24195 Just got back from my Brothers wedding...in bloody Cornwall.13 hours driving and 20 hours in Cornwall, what a nightmare. For some reason the home page on my computer has come up under this name:http://www.the-huns-yellow-pages.com/.Any idea what thats all about Alex? ;-) Jackie on 19:45 28th-Sep-03 GMT #b05-24196 I have spent all afternoon playing 'In Our Gun' by Gomez- this is such a good CD. Totally underrated. Everytime I play it it amazes me. However I have drunk half a bottle of red wine too- amazing how this improves the sound of anything!!!! Lindsay on 19:50 28th-Sep-03 GMT #d63-24197 George, have you sorted somewhere to stay next week? What are you doing after Sheffield? Jackie and I (if our tickets for the Casbah get confirmed that is) are driving back here after, then planning shopping Sat pm followed by food and then the gig. I'm driving, parking in the NCP above the venue so we can dump our stuff in the car. Can't wait! :) Lindsay on 20:03 28th-Sep-03 GMT #d63-24198 Hope you're not predicting George that Sheffield and Leeds will be obliterated binladen-style or wiped out by a meteorite by next week! Liam @ on 20:27 28th-Sep-03 GMT [www.theundertones.com] #684-24199 ANOTHER ROCKING HUMDINGER!!! Been listening to 'Get What You Need' all weekend. Fucking amazing. Unmistakable Undertones sound but with a new edge to it. A great GREAT album. wilke on 21:08 28th-Sep-03 GMT #8a3-24200 liam your right its a great album .thrill me oh please . a girl like you. are great winter sun and joyland took awhile to grow on me but they have .talk soon see ya julius on 21:11 28th-Sep-03 GMT #685-24201 When Jimmy Eat World hit Holland a few months ago, there were quite some comparisons with the undertones. I didnt think they fitted as Jimmy Eat World is a great band but lacks the energy&passion of the undertones julius on 21:17 28th-Sep-03 GMT #685-24202 shop assistants were truly great, they did quite a lengthy tour of Holland back then with one of my friends and his band supporting them. Good memories julius on 21:18 28th-Sep-03 GMT #685-24203 how did you get hold of the copies of 'get what you need', promo's? julius on 21:21 28th-Sep-03 GMT #685-24204 Lindsay, George means that the cities of Leeds and Sheffield are looking forward to their event, the event, of 2003, this time next week both cities can only look back on what was the highlight AlexD on 23:11 28th-Sep-03 GMT #d3e-24205 I won't go in to technicalities Clifford but it seems you have a HUN virus. Particularly nasty but easy to deal with. Take away the marching routes and it will gradually march up it's own ronson. It's an archaic, gruesome, and I believe a sad virus. Modern OS's should take care of it.
