Musings
The lead singer of TPE went out with one of the girls from votb if memory serves me right. I think Damian had a song on the soundtrack to Hamlet, and Scott Litt produced chemicrazy which is one of my favourite albums ever. I'd like the Undertones to work with him. I can't remember the last time I listened to an album and thought I wonder who the producer is, but on that one I did. Lee on 12:50 29th-Oct-03 GMT #64a-24917 Quite right Pete - Chemicrazy was produced by Scott Litt. It's one of my favourites too - just when there were thoughts that the band were dead after GOD left out comes an album with a superb mix of pop classics and rougher songs - check out also the title track not actually on the album but the b-side to Sensitize (I think). Hugh thinkgy, otherwise known as Hugh Jones, produced Manic Pop Thrill - another superb production job. These are my 2 favourite TPE albums. Re Hugo Largo I don't know - is Steve around? He might know. And last of all Steve Mack did go out with Tracey from VOTB - and broke her heart apparently! Ignore the singles, which the band hated and didn't want releasing, and they were a good band. They are touring with The Wonder Stuff in December. I might just pop along. Jackie on 18:08 29th-Oct-03 GMT #b05-24920 Not sure how Steve Mack could have broke her heart- he must be the man with the worlds skinniest arms (and legs I bet!!!!) What is he doing now then? Jackie on 18:10 29th-Oct-03 GMT #b05-24921 So how can TPE tour without John and Damian? Thats like having the undertones without John and Damian.....better not get into this debate again!! Lindsay on 18:52 29th-Oct-03 GMT #112-24922 Thanks for all the birthday wishes - I had a corker this year (but suffering badly now). Welcome Jo P. Are you in Leeds?? My email is above (without the 'NO SPAM' bit cos thats just to stop the Spam) - drop me a line if you can (that's also for you Wilke as you've asked). Julius - loved the card! Is that me or one of the Riplets?? Must go, I'm supposed to be packed and I'm not. CU all in a few days. Lindsay @ on 18:53 29th-Oct-03 GMT #112-24923 Whoops, forgot to put the email address in - Doh! Wayne on 19:56 29th-Oct-03 GMT #a29-24924 Wilke- LATER seems to have cleared last weeks postings and accepting new ones- still with a days delay though (I'm Chuck from Gloucester this week). Dominic on 19:59 29th-Oct-03 GMT #a52-24925 Hello all! Lee quite agree with you Chemicrazy is a fantastic album. Particularly like Sensitize, but yep, the actual song Chemicrazy is brilliant, but not on the Album. Not commented on the new Album yet, soooooooo...... It's not bad is it! George on 20:39 29th-Oct-03 GMT #f33-24926 The Voice of the Beehive have a more direct connection with the Undertones. The following is on the official VOTB website 'While Polygram worked on setting that partnership up, Tracey took a holiday in Derry, Ireland, visiting with That Petrol Emotion and Undertones founder Sean (John) O'Neill and his family. It was a relaxing time for Tracey, something she desperately needed.' It also mentions the break up with Stevie Mack. wilke on 21:04 29th-Oct-03 GMT #69c-24927 well have try once more on the later site to get the tones on this time i`m mike from london henry @ on 22:15 29th-Oct-03 GMT #271-24928 Cactus, good to hear your still alive..I will happily take one of your Brighton tickets...probably both, e-mail me with what time to meet you at Venus Wine Bar !
