Cliff and I were talking to Billy before the gig - he told us how little they had practised and how he expected it to be a disaster. If that's what they're like without practice.....

Just consulted the promoter's website - Undertones are expected in NL from 17-22 February.

I assume Holland in February will be just as cold as it was last time the band played in December 2001. We need more warm weather concerts. Athens in August while the Olympics are on would be brilliant. Is anyone going to have a belated Valentine in Holland?

Lots of chat from/between the band at Brighton, mainly due to ongoing confusion about the set list eg 'It's TK Paul' and John breaking 3 or 4 strings. Mickey said Billy was really Joe Brown 'He's Sam Brown's dad- honest' and likened John to a Grange Hill character- anyone recall who?

I thought it was Damian not John.It ammused me when Billy was last on stage for the 2nd encore 'Billy was checking his e-mails'.

best place to meet for Tokyo gig is 'Summos jockstrap',they do a good pint in there.Barry Stewart said he was in Southend a couple of years ago,while the person he was with went to Essex Radio, he wandered round the West Ham club shop next door.Its closed down now though, lack of interest I imagine.
