i think the undertones/damned/buzzcocks sounds like a fantastic gig,i've been told that all bands will be playing full sets.i think the difference between this and other punk festivals is the strength of the line up which is why the undertones are obviously doing it.its a triple co-headline without any bands playing ego cards about who plays last.other bands to play are meant to include the beat and slaughter and the dogs so as soon as tickets go on sale which i've been told will be at the end of the month-i'm geetting mine!

Rick on 10:34 12th-Jan-04 GMT #2a9-26048
I think that Lydon will be value for money on IACGMOOH. Atleast he can show up the other shallow 'celebs' like Jordan, Peter Andre, Freddie Starr, and Gazza. Should be very funny. I agree that it's a bit sad he wants to appear on this but I'm sure his wit and sarcasm will tear the others apart and upset the mindless British Public that normally watch this crap. He doesn't need the money (£50,000 is the conestants fee) but the exposure is good for him. If he plays it right he might even win.

Cliff on 10:57 12th-Jan-04 GMT #934-26049
Freddie Starr is on the fitness club programme, unless hes on both, but I doubt it.Is Gazza on? I mean atleast Gazza does have a talent(or did)and got to the top of his profession in it, unlike Jordan who just has false tits.Actually I reckon if JL takes the piss out of Gazza, Gazza will just laugh and see the joke, he always did when opposition fans taunted him.

Cliff on 11:00 12th-Jan-04 GMT #934-26050
paul, I hope you're right about the full sets.I'd choose Buzzcocks first, then The Undertones, then The Damned. That way we can watch the first two and all go home.

CMoS on 11:05 12th-Jan-04 GMT [www.thesun.co.uk/section/0,,2001320029,00.html] #296-26051
According to today's sun the line up is Frank Carson, Neil Ruddock, Jordan, Jennie Bond, John Lydon, Alex Best, Peter Andre, Diane Modahl, Lord Brocket and Kerry McFadden

Rick on 11:18 12th-Jan-04 GMT #2a9-26052
Might be an interesting conversation on the lyrics to 'God Save the Queen' between Lydon and Jennie Bond then.

wilke on 12:38 12th-Jan-04 GMT #69c-26053
i was right about the people going on the show .they should have a big sign saying for the love of god i`m a celebrity please please please get me on tv

Lee on 12:50 12th-Jan-04 GMT #64a-26054
Sounds a bit better for Birmingham then. Have the Beat reformed or is this a 1-off?

Lee on 12:51 12th-Jan-04 GMT #64a-26055

should be a great gig in birmingham, buzzcocks are fantastic and the beat, wow, superb band!!!

CMoS on 17:38 12th-Jan-04 GMT #296-26059
Arthur you should be back in business

George on 18:57 12th-Jan-04 GMT #62b-26060
After reading the other reviews on playlouder I was beginning to dread what they would have to say about our favourite band. Needn't have worried. They don't have stick the boot into some other bands DVDs though.

Jackie on 19:50 12th-Jan-04 GMT #f12-26061
If they keep adding bands the time the Tones are on will surely reduce. I agree Cliff, put the Tones on 2nd. And if Slaughter and the Dogs are on count me OUT! They were crap at the time never mind now. Surely the Beat dont belong in the lineup. Unless the rest are ska bands in disguise.

jackie on 19:54 12th-Jan-04 GMT #f12-26062
I'm a celebrity will be even more embarrassing than usual if PL is in it. He just makes me cringe everytime he opens his mouth. But then again it might be worth it to see how he gets on with arch royalist and bum licker Jennie Bond. Shes this years Sean LLoyd. And Jordan is this years Daniella Westthingy. Infact it could be possible to predict who will win on this basis.Who are Neil Ruddick, Lord ? and kelly mcfaddon? Obviously letting my subscription to Now magazine lapse was a mistake!

Jon on 20:09 12th-Jan-04 GMT #9f4-26063
I hope The Beat are included. I never got to see them and I always thought they were miles better than the specials or madness. Neil Ruddock is a exfootballer and Kerry whatsaname is an ex-atomickitten from before they were famous. John Lydon and Jennie Bond sounds an interesting conversation as rick says but of course they wont talk about anything interesting.

Cliff on 21:45 12th-Jan-04 GMT #9d6-26064
Anyone got other suggestions on accomodation in glasgow? Jurys is £63, a bit steep although it does include the 'run of the house'?? and a hairdryer.

Lewis @ on 22:04 12th-Jan-04 GMT #bab-26065
Cliff Hotels.com are showing Jurys at 57 pound a whole 6 pounds in your pocket saved, unfortunately most of the city centre hotels are round about this price. The bonus is i think Wilke is also booked in Jurys.WILKE lookin forward to it.

Steve on 22:34 12th-Jan-04 GMT #d5e-26066
No, the Beat have been playing a few gigs in the last year, not the full line up though, Andy Steele and whatshisname Cox are not doing it. Possibly still living off the Fine Young Cannibals royalties. Amazingly Saxa is still doing it. How old must he be now?

julius on 23:38 12th-Jan-04 GMT #f4e-26067
the beat were once lined up at a no nukes gig in my then hometown of Utrecht in 1981 (with U2, bad manners, fisher Z)and they pulled back at the last moment due to illness of saxa 'who was already 56' as reported in a newspaperclipping, so he must be 78 now or so!! amazing!
