JoP - I'm surprised at you. Not only was it Frank Bough and Meatloaf's birthday yesterday it was also Damian O'Neill's!

Arthur on 11:05 16th-Jan-04 GMT #b8d-26102
Glasgow Film Theatre will be screening the documentary at 7 pm on Friday 6 February. The screening will be followed by a Question and answer session featuring Michael Bradley and Damian O'Neill. Glasgow Film Theatre is approximately 5 minutes walk from King Tuts. This is your chance for the total Undertone experience - enjoy.

JoP on 11:28 16th-Jan-04 GMT #2be-26103
Arthur - did you honestly think I'd forgotten? Didn't dare mention it for fear of being labelled obsessive! Happy Birthday for yesterday to my favourite middle-aged guitarist!!

wilke on 11:32 16th-Jan-04 GMT #69c-26104
the tones cd i bid for on e bay came today cher o bowlies .not bad got it for £3.50. talk soon see ya

Vinny on 11:34 16th-Jan-04 GMT #69c-26105
Colin, are you sending emails out requesting passwords, etc? Please confirm

JoP on 11:43 16th-Jan-04 GMT #2be-26106
Just ordered my tickets for Nottingham. The gig finishes at 10.15pm - is that so all the old people can get to bed early? I'm off work bad today and I'm bored......

JoP on 11:49 16th-Jan-04 GMT #2be-26107
And anyway, Damian looks better for his age than Frank Bough.

CMoS on 12:17 16th-Jan-04 GMT #296-26109
Vinny, NO !!! I'm not sending out e-mails asking for anyhting e.g. passwords or YUGiHo Tazos. First rule of the InterWeb is never give out your password to anyone even the technical support help desk. If you have the full headers of the mail I can release the ISP sniffer hounds

Vinny on 12:22 16th-Jan-04 GMT #69c-26110
Thought so Colin, there's an email going out asking people for their passwords etc. I recd it this morning. Will send to you now.

JoP on 13:28 16th-Jan-04 GMT #2be-26111
Don't know what to do about the Birmingham show - scared it's going to turn into one of these 'Here and Now' tour scenarios.

Arthur on 14:23 16th-Jan-04 GMT #bb7-26112
Colin - I received one of those and replied. Was it you who sent it?

CMoS on 15:25 16th-Jan-04 GMT #fb2-26113
No its not me as you can see from the reply address, initial investigations shows it originates from a webmail client from some communcations firm on a Derry indistrial estate

JoP on 16:11 16th-Jan-04 GMT #2be-26114
I've just bid for 6 handbags on e-Bay. I need help.

George on 17:00 16th-Jan-04 GMT #100-26115
See New York has been announced, gig in less than 7 weeks. If only christmas wasn't in December I might have been able to afford to go. Mind you if it is still minus 16 degrees I don't think I could cope.

Paul on 17:32 16th-Jan-04 GMT #db4-26116
Hi everyone, I hope you lot can put me straight on this. I`ve just bought the Teenage Kicks DVD but it`s THE CUT DOWN VERSION! I knew this when I bought it but I figured it would be ok with the odd bit cut out. Anyway I was right into it as I`ve wanted to see it for ages then just as Get Over You lives starts it jumps back to the menu right at the beginning! I tried forwarding to another chapter etc but it`s not letting me go further. Is this because it`s the version for sample only or have I bought a duff DVD. I was well gutted last night, what a Bastard!

michael nadin @ on 22:44 16th-Jan-04 GMT #503-26117
Its fantastic to see the God of comedy Freddie Starr on fit club. He will make it worth watching. He is the only reason me and my friends are watching. All the best Freddie

Vinny on 18:18 16th-Jan-04 GMT #69c-26118
Paul, that was a demo version sent to journalists etc. Still a bit of a collectors item so don't despair!!- Vinny (Producer 'Teenage Kicks')

Paul on 22:45 16th-Jan-04 GMT #52e-26119
Thanks Vinny, thought so! Just a sickener when you`re into something and it goe`s haywire! I`ll just have to wait until 26th! Just like to point out I`m not the Paul that`s using the board in earlier posts. I didn`t know there was another until i read a few back dated posts, so I thought I`d add that to avoid confusion! Also if the gig is still advertised to go ahead @ King Tuts, well if it`s sold out which it very probably will be then 9 times out of 10 it`s switched to the Garage just up the road so those who are disappointed may get to see the band yet. the Garage holds about 600 to 700. I think King Tuts is 200 or something. It`s tiny!

Jackie on 19:17 16th-Jan-04 GMT #f12-26120
I cant believe NY has been announced for March. David is going to New Jersey on Sunday for a week and will go again in May (perhaps with an additional passenger :-0 ) Shucks!!!!!

George on 19:19 16th-Jan-04 GMT [www.knittingfactory.com/calendar] #f92-26121
Just realised band are playing 2 nights in New York. $20 ticket in advance $25 on door. The Prodigal and TBA on 2nd night. No mention of support band for first night. Knitting Factory is on Leonard Street in mid-lower manhattan, quite close to City Hall. If anyone wants to lend me the money I will go and watch, take plenty of photos on your behalf etc.

Jackie on 19:19 16th-Jan-04 GMT #f12-26122
Jo- did you bid for the LUSH Chanel handbag on Ebay? Trouble is I dont think you would get much change out of £500. Like a good girl I have given my husnband a shopping list. 'I'm working!' is NOT going to be an excuse!

Jackie on 19:21 16th-Jan-04 GMT #f12-26123
Happy birthday to DON- I admit- I forgot!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jackie on 19:23 16th-Jan-04 GMT #f12-26124
Best Undertones backing vocals????????

Jackie on 19:24 16th-Jan-04 GMT #f12-26125
My vote is the backing to the last VERSE of Love Parade before the last chorus. Sends a shiver everytime I listen to it :)!!!!!!!

George on 19:53 16th-Jan-04 GMT #f92-26126
£204 return London-NY on Air India. I hate having to travel to London to get cheap flights. Anyone considering the USA? If I do it will have to be at the expense of Italy. Cheap gig compared with a £500 lush bag!

Wayne on 20:07 16th-Jan-04 GMT #24c-26127
Glad to see band has re-reformed (Official site Guest postings)

JoP on 20:38 16th-Jan-04 GMT #2be-26128
Missed the Chanel one Jackie - tried for 2 Prada ones though and a silver mesh Art Deco one. Played TK at Xscape tonight when I was failing miserably at snowboarding.

JoP on 20:51 16th-Jan-04 GMT #2be-26129
A lush handbag is a real investment though George, it can only go up in value. And a girl can never have too many. Or too many shoes or posh items of make-up.

JoP on 20:54 16th-Jan-04 GMT #2be-26130
Speaking of which - a stall in Castleford market has been selling Mac eyeshadows for £2.50 each, so I bought 7 today. Stop me if I'm getting too Girlie!!

Lindsay on 21:57 16th-Jan-04 GMT #a23-26131
Jo, have no intention of snowboarding or participating in any other ridiculously cold sport at Xscape. Cinema is good though. By the way, have you tried the China City buffet (opposite the Asda)? Eat until you're stuffed - excellent! So a Knitting Factory gig for the knitting circle eh. Please, please just let me win the lottery, just this once, I'll be a good girl and be nice to everyone. Probably a tall order. Still wouldn't pay £500 for a handbag though.

JoP on 22:02 16th-Jan-04 GMT #2be-26132
Lindsay - I have no intention of ever again participating in any cold sport at Xscape! (some pretty tasty snowboarders though!) Not tried the Chinese place yet, sounds worth a bash!

Cliff on 22:09 16th-Jan-04 GMT #7e3-26133
I'd love to go George, never been to the USA but always wanted to, I'll go one day and what better reason? I've looked up flights March 5-8th around £210.Havent looked into the Washington connection yet though.Same as you though, its that or Italy, cant be both.

julius on 22:21 16th-Jan-04 GMT #248-26134
I just heard (looks confirmed) that the undertones will do a livegig in the studio of 3FM, our national popstation, great publicity for the band!!! The audience is 200. Gig planned for wednesday the 18th. If any of the regulars on the site plan to come over to Holland (it's way cheaper than the USA and atmosphere at US gigs is sh*t), please contact me.

julius on 22:37 16th-Jan-04 GMT #248-26135
The Hengelo gig on the 18th seems to be scrapped, probably due to this radiogig. Can anyone confirm? It has also disappeared from the website of finnegans Hengelo. Hengelo is a 2 hours drive from the radiostudio, it was sort of my hometown gig and I had many friends and collegues lined up to go

Cliff on 22:40 16th-Jan-04 GMT #7e3-26136
thanks Julius thats put me right off!! How do you know about the atmosphere?

julius on 22:42 16th-Jan-04 GMT #248-26137
this radio gig is a series of wednesday night livegigs on national radio & internet, the previous week the riplets are lined up for this series.

George on 23:01 16th-Jan-04 GMT #ee4-26138
One of my NY guide books has the Knitting Factory as 'Open every night. A tiny place where you can watch musicians who were once household names as well as a new generation of rising stars. An enthusiastic audience and a welcoming atmosphere'. Leonard Street is close to City Hall and the Woolworth building and is an area where I did not spend a lot of time on either of my previous visits. I told my kids at Xmas that I would only go back to NY to see the Undertones or to take them there on holiday when they are older. Might never get another chance for the first!

Cliff on 23:30 16th-Jan-04 GMT #5d7-26139
Good research George, that sounds better.I wonder how big 'tiny' is?(Dont even go there Alex ;-))

AlexD on 01:29 17th-Jan-04 GMT #c6b-26140
I'm going to start a thread here, and I know it will be a positive one. Where and when did you meet an Undertone?

AlexD on 03:44 17th-Jan-04 GMT #c6b-26141
Olympia Dublin. 'Are you the guy that does the t-shirts'. 'Yes that'll be me' 'C'mon in to the bar then' :) Step forward Billy Doherty, 'You never came all the way over here just to see us?' Yes I did and it was superb. Glad it wasn't the last time.
