Love the DVD. I managed to bag the only copy I could find in the West End in HMV Oxford Street. Can see why the 'There Goes Norman' video was never shown as it looks like someone is being beaten up with a baseball bat in it. Also finally got to see what happened to the Batman cut-out from inner sleeve of Hypnotised. Virulent is normally ascribed to a deadly virus.

Captain Sensible once said that John Lydon's singing sounded like old man Steptoe. I agree with Lindsay that he's now starting to look like him. He's still very funny and witty though.

Alex, George, are you planning on Washington DC also? its approx 1 hour flight from NY and there are lots of flights thru the day.Otherwise its a 5 hour drive.Stote, are you going?

AlexD on 09:37 27th-Jan-04 GMT #247-26358
I'm heading home on the Sat Clifford.

Jackie on 12:16 27th-Jan-04 GMT #e54-26359
Looks like theres no highland fling for me next week sob sob. I'm a celeb- great telly!! I thought the comment that JL + friend was like Kev and Perry was spot on. How stupid does his hair look? Jordan was a real trouper- theres no way I'd have done what she did. Those spiders!!!!! And I'd have had MY top off like a shot if I'd came out of that horrible bug filled bubble! I thought she was restrained to say the least.

Cliff, I think that the US is a no-no for me, despite the fact that I have now found cheap flights from Amsterdam. Glasgow + 6 dates on successive nights in Germany and Holland are already verging on the unacceptable in terms of the home front! I'm also saving my credits for a possible Japanese trip later in the year.

Lee on 13:14 27th-Jan-04 GMT #64a-26361
Didn't Lydon turn up at the Q awards last year with his dad in a horse and cart? Maybe he is Steptoe! Was pleasantly surprised he wasn't being over the top obnoxious - maybe that's to come when someone upsets him.

Cliff on 13:22 27th-Jan-04 GMT #2e0-26362
Japanese trip?? hmm, interesting.I think JL has done well so far, he's happy to get stuck in.How I wish Jackie was a contestant....

After seeing the band in America albeit only one city then that really only leaves Japan as a suitable location that I would bend over backwards to get to. Hopefully not for a few years yet though. I have checked train and coach times from NY to Washington Cliff. Don't think I will go as I want to do a race in NY while I'm there (Unless I can find an alternative race in Washington). Will be arriving on Wednesday teatime and leaving on Sunday night, so will have some spare time.

George on 14:50 27th-Jan-04 GMT #100-26364
How much are the cheap flights Cliff? Best so far is $119 plus taxes. With two hours to check in and having to travel from airport into city centre, the coach at $40-$68 seems a better option.

Cliff on 15:15 27th-Jan-04 GMT #2e0-26365
coach might be more intersting to, or train.

Jackie on 17:09 27th-Jan-04 GMT #f12-26367
I too would love to go to Japan. Tokyo is a dream holiday destination of mine- such super shopping, sooooo girlie! All those Hello Kitty and Miffy shops! Plus cheap rip off designer stuff. I'd be in 7th heaven (I'm sure Jo and Lindsay know what I'm on about!)

wilke on 17:23 27th-Jan-04 GMT #69c-26368
looks like i will be able to go to the mayday gig after just a few thing to sort out first ok talk soon see ya

Cliff on 17:45 27th-Jan-04 GMT #9d6-26369
great bit on GMOOH, Alex Best told JL she loved the pistols and had some albums. She asked what Sid Vicious was like, he replied 'sweet lovely man, but then the ego got him' also 'got on heroine to cover his self doubts and inadequacies, but everyone has them, its normal'.My respect for him is growing.

Jackie on 19:19 27th-Jan-04 GMT #f12-26370
Great Hypnotised poster on Ebay- advertising the Newcastle City Hall gig in 1980- first time I saw them live too. Might be tempted!

Cactus on 21:37 27th-Jan-04 GMT #29e-26371
I can't believe some of you have actually played the DVD already! I'm still enjoying the cover and the experience of simply holding it. Do they all come with the special little 'Undertones widescreen' sticker on the plastic wrapping? And if so, have we all carefully cut it out so as to keep it? Incidently, does anyone else think that the description on the back is just a bit OTT in places?

Cactus on 21:42 27th-Jan-04 GMT #29e-26372
According to Amazon, I have apparently bought two copies, which for some strange reason vary in price by about £4. I await the 'expensive one' in the post tomorrow.

Cliff on 22:38 27th-Jan-04 GMT #559-26373
Great poster Jackie, go for it!

AlexD on 23:02 27th-Jan-04 GMT #247-26374
Anyone heard from Derek? Is he going to any gigs.

donald on 23:05 27th-Jan-04 GMT #705-26375
Got my sweaty palms on the DVD today. Spent all night watching it. A truly great testament to a great band. Put together brilliantly and loved the 'Norman' video with them playing in the bedroom. Get Over you at the Astoria really is something special. Pauls comments are really funny as well. great night with the DVD and Johnny Rotten on TV as well- the man is a true individual, thank god. Off to bed with a big smile on my face knowing I'll be seeing them next week.

Wayne on 23:43 27th-Jan-04 GMT #24c-26376
Venice booked. £66 roundtrip Ryannair and no need for car as trains are regular & cheap as chips (approx 10 euros Treviso-Venice-Bassano return). Still no DVD :(
