He gets slagged a ridiculous amount. I am no fan but most of its because he is an easy target and popular. A lot of it is about class especially because he was an officer in the army. Some student bedwetter twat at NME slags him rotten for being posh and a whiner then proceeds to tell us how great those upper class Radiohead and Coldplay boys are. Music snobbery methinks.
