I wouldn't count them as my favourite singles of last year, but for dancing I quite liked Eternals 'Paris to Berlin', Rogue Traders 'Voodoo Child', Scissors Sisters 'Don't feel like dancing'. Best LP The Research 'Breaking Up'. Most LPs I bought last year were compilations or rereleases of 70s/80s music. Whilst in Derry I bought a Cd called 'Leader of the Pack' which features the best of 60s girls. The last track 'This Little Bird' by Marianne Faithfull is brilliant and was one of the few tracks which I didn't recognise staright away.

Best LP for me would have to have been A Hundred Highways, by Johnny Cash. The man is dead and he is still bringing out classics. Now that is cool! Best single would have to be Silkcut (or so all the wee lads down the shop tell me).

Just been checking to see where flights from Newcastle go to in Spain. Looks like Gerona or Barcelona are the closest airports to all the gigs which have been announced so far. Unfortunately there are no flights to Santander or anywhere along the north coast of Spain. Probably can't afford to go, but worthwhile checking. I had hoped to be in Helsinki the week before for the European Masters Indoor Track & Field Championships but definitely can't afford that, particularly with the possibility of Undertones concerts thefollowing week. Biggest problem might be that I am due to drive the minibus for the running club on 31st March.

James Brown was a loss. |strange story - I was downloading some JB tracks on Xmas eve for party mix ipod. Often end up downloading tracks with funny titles/names and downloaded one by Lords of acid called 'James brown is dead'. Wish i hadn't now. Spooooky.

I like the 'take that' single to Arthur.I find myself actually being pleased for them simply because I think 'Cheeky chap' Robbie is an arrogant twat.

The best song I've heard in the last 2 years, is 'Recommending me' by the Undertones.

Cliff Recommending Me is definitely a cracker. Of the new tracks so far I think So Close and Him Not Me are my favourites. Will get the demos samples added to site as soon as we solve the, now long running saga, of the disappearing demo tracks! Eh John!

Meant to ask Mickey if Recommending Me and also Here Comes the Rain were going to make it on to a future release, as they are both superb songs and ones that Paul performs especially well.

2006 highlights were seeing Bo Diddley (my all time music god hero), New Order, Toots & The Maytalls, New York Dolls, MC5, Buzzcocks and The Dickies (and also Ten Pole Tudour)live. Best 'Tones moment had to be hearing the band sing ''Vinny Vinny'' at his suprise b'day party.

George - Ferry goes from Plymouth to Santander. Then need to get to Bilbao and Gijon (for the North coast gigs) presumably by bus or train.(Unless we take the campervan.)Also the ferry only runs up and down once a week (I think). Need to investigate a bit more. I'll let you know.

I thought Paul's voice sounded great on the youtube clips Alex posted. More of a throaty rock voice amd less warbly and Fergalesque. My favourite tune is Tomorrows Tears Today, all bow down to the god like genius of John O'Neill.

Am I the only one who always kneels, bows, doffs cap & tugs forelock in his presence? ;)
