Alex, Paul mentioned German gigs when I spoke with him in London, so sounds like a goer. Hopefully also in Dusseldorf or Cologne which is driving distance for Julius and me.

In fact, a little googling produces Munich on 30 Nov and Berlin on 1 Dec. Berlin 6/7 hours drive - could be done!

Anybody going to Edinburgh? I will be available for canapés and cocktails pre gig.

New Lp is great, been listening to it none stop in car and on ipod. Fave tracks are here comes the rain, fight my corner (great to run to on the treadmill- how bad is that) him not me (reminds me of smarter than U) shes so sweet...I dont have one that I dont like its definately a album you can listen to without pressing fast forward, but I constantly press rewind to listen to the tracks again. I agree its a notch up from GWYN but there are still maybe a couple of tracks which to my mind sound (dare I say it) like old TPE tracks and thats not good. I think the band do themselves proud when they take mighty risks on songs like Fight My Corner. ITS JUST GREAT :-)))

Jackie - I thought 'Him Not Me' sounded a bit like 'Smarter Than You'. Great start off line 'Sunday morning B&Q checking out the power tools'. On a par with 'Freeman's item A page 61 from Male Model - Great lines!!! A fantastic new album - all good tracks. 'Easy Way out' doesn't seem to get mentioned much, (except for Arthur), a track I rather like.

Just got back from The Stranglers gig in Glasgow.Absolutely superb.They played the same set they played at The Apollo 30 years ago to the day so it was all from the first two albums.The encore was from theie latest cd.Gig was sold out and great atmosphere.If you get a chance go and see them.Hawk got the dvd.Thanks a lot.
