Yes Hawk I saw Squeeze on Al Murray. Now there is a real band worth talking about.I admit there are very few new bands that I get excited about mainly because they all sound the same or sound similar to bands of the past. There are a few good bands out there at the moment though like The Enemy,The View and 1990s.But even they sound a lot like other bands ie The Enemy remind me of The Jam.The bottom line is everybodys taste in music is different.Fortunately everyone on here loves The Undertones so thats good enough for me.Rant over.See you all in Belfast.ps Happy Easter to you all.

Has anybody noticed there's a new sitcom on ITV starting Friday called Teenage Kicks, with Adrian Edmonsen? It was trailed on TV while I was in the UK this weekend with an ersatz version of our favourite tune as the theme. It was slagged in Heat magazine and tipped as a bit of a sleeper in The Observer. Make of that what you will.....

I for one will not be watching TK. If you ask me TV today is run by a conspiracy /cartel consisting of dawn French, Jennifer Saunders, Ade Edmondson, Griff Rhys jones and other assorted hangers on. They havent got an ounce of talent between them but they have obviously got their nose down someones shorts. I read somewhere that G R Jones is a multi multi millionaire and runs every production company commissioning new programmes by the BBC. Explains why his ugly face is on TV every 5 seconds. It stinks!!!!!

However if it makes royalties for JON then its ok (grudgingly)

Oh and keith Allen and Lily allen. They get on my nerves too!

jackie on 20:41 24th-Mar-08 GMT #3e4-47788
Lack of easter eggs, sorry;-9

Jackie - What you need is a good dose of Undertonics - that'll make you feel better!!!!! Anyway apart from all that how are you?? Heading for Belfast??

Have to side with Cliff on that one Roger. They sound like they are trying too hard to be typical brit pop, sort of ticking all the required attitude boxes but failing terribly due to being so unoriginal. Sounds like 100s of other current guitar bands and the songs don't really have much of a hook to them. But each to their own. I prefer bands who sound a bit out of place and who have that bit of an edge that marks them as a bit more unique. Also just noticed that they list Oasis, The Jam and Kaiser Chiefs as influences - so just found 3 more reasons to not like them. How fickle am I!

One of the best acts to emerge over the last couple of years has to be Seasick Steve. See this link for great performance on Jools Holland. Not everyones cup of tea but something about his voice with that guitar sound really makes for a powerful combination.

Just noticed Kylie dancing in the background there in that Seasick Steve clip! Man you know you have made it to the big time when Kylie shakes her thing in the audience.

Speaking of Kylie this clip is unmissable

Cliff on 23:03 24th-Mar-08 GMT #e51-47794
Thats much more like it, great stuff!! I couldn't see Kylie though because my screen is to dark.

Cliff on 23:05 24th-Mar-08 GMT #e51-47795
Don't rate her version of the song but she is sexy as hell.

donald on 23:12 24th-Mar-08 GMT #dd6-47796
Kylie doesnt have much edge liam, but her curves are unique.

Liam on 23:50 24th-Mar-08 GMT #e52-47797
Donald - Kylie is one of those rare artists that only come along only very seldomly and who possess the gift of being just as entertaining with the sound off as with it on.
