Do i get brownie points for saying KICK SUPERB is an anagram of EK BURP SICK. Poor eck. Brain of Britain here bought a nice new monitor and threw out all old stuff without realising monitor doesnt habve speakers so I have been without sound for last 2 weeks. Cant comment on any recent music debates over quality of Kick superb. Just glad people are talking about new music. Sadly for me its all been old Bowie and Trex as still reading Tony Visconti book. He says the musicians in Altered Images were some of worst he worked with and he ended up trying to teach the bassist how to play (wasnt he in Hipsway as well - Alex? am I right or a meringue?). Thin Lizzy 'Live and dangerous' was completely overdubbed for a 'fatter, fuller ' sound, every instrument and vocal was re-recorded in studio and added over the original mix. I call that a 'cheating bastard' sound but apparently its the norm. Off to read more about dynamic compression.
