I hear the Undertones are supporting SLF at the Nerve center! S Toned on 12:22 29th-Apr-08 GMT #6bd-47992 How did I know that would get you all going!! S Toned on 12:22 29th-Apr-08 GMT #6bd-47994 My tongue was firmly in my cheek when i wrote that. Like you I think the first album is great but after that it was all downhill. Tone Man on 12:22 29th-Apr-08 GMT #1e3-47995 Yer tongue was firmly up yer arse more like, Mr Stoned Vince @ on 12:22 29th-Apr-08 GMT #fb6-47996 Can't make it to Belfast for the gig n'all, hope everyone enjoys themselves, got to be in Cardiff on business. That C/L semi final last night, Anfield was mainly quiet all night, about as intimidating as walking into a branch of Mothercare. Have they heard about the twelth man effect. Vince @ on 12:22 29th-Apr-08 GMT #fb6-48005 Me favourite venue (especially for Tones + TPE) was always The National Club, Kilburn, it was mentioned on this forum by somebody called Bradley back in May 1982. Good luck to the currants tonight, I hope they get a damn good shooing. Vince @ on 12:22 29th-Apr-08 GMT #fb6-48006 Make that May 2002, I do so hate making errors, I wonder what happened to him? Joe on 12:22 29th-Apr-08 GMT [uk.youtube.com/watch] #92d-48034 Great stories from Belfast. Just came across this Protex video. George on 13:10 29th-Apr-08 GMT #0ee-48036 Great to hear that the Good Vibrations event went well. Well done Arthur and anyone else concerned. Read on Ceefax last week that Bill Clinton had sent a thank you message for the work that Terri Hooley had done. A works colleague went to Japan the week before to watch a Duran Duran concert. She paid a fortune to get 'VIP' tickets, which include a greet and meet the band. She was not too impressed with Tokyo. Glad the Undertones don't charge extra for fans to talk to them before/after the gig! Arthur on 16:50 29th-Apr-08 GMT [www.tiscali.co.uk/entertainment/film/interviews/oliver_hirschbie] #b43-48037 It's somehow a rule that at events in Belfast at least one German nutter has to turn up. So it was on Friday when one in particular caught my eye. It turns out he's a sort of world famous director. No wonder Nesbitt was deep in conversation with him. Cliff on 17:33 29th-Apr-08 GMT #91f-48038 Great work Arthur, the band should have got you up on stage to sing your favourite Undertones song(YGMN?).Sire, thought Saints got lucky last night, but good luck, hope they survive(but I think in form Sheff U will beat you) Arthur on 17:47 29th-Apr-08 GMT #b43-48039 Thanks Cliff and everyone else for your kind words. I'm glad people enjoyed it. In advance, I knew that I wouldn't be able to see or do a lot on the day and so it turned out but it was a lot of fun. jackie on 20:53 29th-Apr-08 GMT #63d-48040 Calling Jo !! Shoe detective! Do you know what type of shoes the sugarbabes were wearing on board Ellen McArthurs yacht today?? They were black and white and very sweet. Where can I get some?? I'm sure you will know . (Sorry everyone) JoP on 21:50 29th-Apr-08 GMT #b96-48041 Can you point me in the direction of a pic Jackie and I'll put my shoe detective hat on (I DO know they wear a lot of Christian Louboutins) JoP on 21:51 29th-Apr-08 GMT #b96-48042 Found a pic! They've got something very much like that in Schuh at the moment (I think they may be Irregular Choice) and they do 'em in red as well. jackie on 21:53 29th-Apr-08 GMT #63d-48043 thanks Jo, that was quick! Vinny on 22:04 29th-Apr-08 GMT #77f-48044 Delboy: Email me your address, I have those DVDs ready- *info@northlandbroadcast.net* (leaving out the asterisks of course) Wayne on 23:03 29th-Apr-08 GMT [smg.photobucket.com/albums/v193/Wayne1234/Belfast/] #c76-48045 What a great weekend. Highlight had to be the bus tour with Terri Hooley, who is truly larger than life, irreverent and equally humble, yelling over the mic as we stopped outside Ian Paisley’s house, “Sell us some drugs” ! Tour was followed by screening of Shellshock followed by a Q&A (and heckling from TH). Finally, the gig. All the bands were fantastic, though, as ever Billy wsan’t convinced and was hyper-sef critical. Great to meet up with so many of the (ir)regulars. Link to some pics, having difficulties with vid clips. Many, many thanks for everything Arthur.
