I for one will not be watching TK. If you ask me TV today is run by a conspiracy /cartel consisting of dawn French, Jennifer Saunders, Ade Edmondson, Griff Rhys jones and other assorted hangers on. They havent got an ounce of talent between them but they have obviously got their nose down someones shorts. I read somewhere that G R Jones is a multi multi millionaire and runs every production company commissioning new programmes by the BBC. Explains why his ugly face is on TV every 5 seconds. It stinks!!!!!

Has anybody noticed there's a new sitcom on ITV starting Friday called Teenage Kicks, with Adrian Edmonsen? It was trailed on TV while I was in the UK this weekend with an ersatz version of our favourite tune as the theme. It was slagged in Heat magazine and tipped as a bit of a sleeper in The Observer. Make of that what you will.....

Yes Hawk I saw Squeeze on Al Murray.Now there is a real band worth talking about.I admit there are very few new bands that I get excited about mainly because they all sound the same or sound similar to bands of the past.There are a few good bands out there at the moment though like The Enemy,The View and 1990s.But even they sound a lot like other bands ie The Enemy remind me of The Jam.The bottom line is everybodys taste in music is different.Fortunately everyone on here loves The Undertones so thats good enough for me.Rant over.See you all in Belfast.ps Happy Easter to you all.

Don't be so sensitive Roger.If you want to tell us all about a new band you like thats fine, but we don't all have to like them.I listened to all the songs on that blog and none of them did anything for me at all, there was nothing I havent heard and turned off 100 times before...each to there own mate.

This 'old man' has just been snowball fighting with his next door neighbour.Just watched a few minutes of 'the passion' with James Nesbitt, thats the worst piece of miss-casting I've seen since Mel Gibson in 'Braveheart'.

Not an 'Old Person'(not 30 yet!) and certainly not 'slashing' (or even slashing on!) a new band. I can see what you're getting at Roger but the Undertones were a new band making a completely different sound to the sort of thing the Old hippies were used to, which is possibly why they didn't approve. However, by their own admission even, and by their influences - The Undertones amongst them - Kick Superb are recreating an old sound. Which is all very well and quite enjoyable and fun in it's own way but it's not the Next Big Thing (although who knows with Wales??!) There are other bands doing the same thing and in some cases doing it better. If tehy DO make it big (even in Wales!) I'll buy a pint of the alcohol of your choosing :-) And who wants to be the fucking NME's darlings anyway these days?

... Great to read here 'old people' slashing a new band (i love) in 2008! that's confirm me KICK SUPERB will be big soon not only in Wales but in Europe too. Remember the Undertones reviewed by 60s hippies late 70s (minor RAMONES league band) . Unfortunalty no KICK SUPERB dates booked in Brittany or France in 2008 :-(

Reading Tony Viscontis autobiography just now, loads of Bolan and Bowie stories. Bowie is just writing 'Heroes' at the moment. Imagine sitting in room as such a classic is written and recorded. Got to agree with Cliff.Sounds like Hard Fi and probably a few other new bands .Most sound the same or as my daughter says Im stuck in an80s time warp.
